  • I must be doing something wrong as my posts rarely seem to get responses. Oh well.
I wanted to share that I found a real help for staying on IP, which is the UNJURY brand of protein products. They have a mix for cheese sauce that is great, phase one, and even my husband enjoys.
I think it can help alot, and wanted to share the find with others.
  • Oooh!! Thanks!! I will have to check that product out! I miss my cheese!!!
  • oh wow, that looks amazing! I think cheese is my only issue with the protocol - which probably means I was eating way too much of it before IP! haha!
  • Other than online where can you buy it? Looks great!
  • Thank you for the info. I'm interested! I'm online checking the site out. I kept seeing references to the brand but had no idea what it was.

Don't take the non-response personally The best places to get a response are to post in one of the main threads: the daily thread, 100% thread, maintainers, etc. Most people that have been around a while tend to not read all the new threads, there are just too many of them to keep up with.

Welcome and thanks for the info!

Thank you Purrfect for finding this!

For those of us who are rebooting, more variety might just be the answer, especially those products which fill a void we may have been feeling. I just ordered some cheese sauce and anticipate using it sparingly over bowls of veggies.

Re your posts going unanswered, please don't feel badly. It happens to everyone and generally folks are just too busy to type in responses. Notice how many views threads get versus posts. You'll see that most are pretty well read.

Any other great ideas/findings like your Unjury cheese sauce? Let us know!

    Thanks,
    Chloe
  • So is this in PLACE of an IP packet? Just want to make sure I use it correctly lol. Can't wait to try it!!

Yes, this would count as a packet.
  • You could make one packet of cheese and one packet of rotini and have two meals out of it.
  • Scorbett - your technical thoughts on it??? I really do miss cheese! I'm doing the cellulite reduction during my reboot so I want to make sure I'd still be good.
  • I'm curious.... What is different about this product that makes it ok for IP? Is it the added protein? Or is it more than that?
  • I used Unjury long before starting this program and still have some that I figured I would pull out in case of an emergency. The chicken soup-flavored protein powder and no flavor one were my staples.

The basic guidelines for alternative products that match up with IP are:

    -under 200 calories
-less than 30% calories from fat
    -carbs within the restricted/unrestricted guidelines
8g or less net carbs = unrestricted
    9g-16g net carbs = restricted
17g net carbs = super restricted (once or twice per week only)
more than 17g net carbs is too many to be compatible with p1
-at least 12-15g protein per serving

These guidelines are based on reviewing the content of all of the IP products available.
