I am on day 5 today and I feel FANTASTIC! I want to go run outside in the beautiful weather. It will pass. For me, days 3 and 4 are my worst. Good luck and stick with it!

For me, days 1, 2 and 3 were fine but then OMG day 4 I felt like a truck hit me! But then after that I felt fine and actually now I feel FANTASTIC! It DOES get better and you will get sooooo much support from this group! Best wishes to you!

It Does .. Lol . A Lil Trick If Its Hunger Thats Getting To You .. These Are My Times To Eat .
6 Am - Protein Bar
9 Am - Protein Food Which Ever One
12 Pm - Salad With Veggies And Half Of The 5-8 Oz Meat
3 Pm - Last Ideal Protein Food
And Atlast 6 Pm - Rest Of Meat And Veggies . Ususally Ill Make Kale The Lettuce All Day Long With Garlic And Mustard And Bake It And Keeps Me Eating All The Time.

Kale is not a form of lettuce and is not included in the "unlimited lettuce". Kale is a form of cabbage, and is related to broccoli, cauliflower, collard greens, and brussels sprouts.

1 C chopped raw kale has 33 calories and 7 g carbs. In comparison, 1C chopped raw lettuce (e.g., romaine, butterhead, green leaf, red leaf) has 5-8 calories and 1-2 g carbs. Kale should be counted towards your 4 C of daily veggies.

Hang in there. It will get better. Just keep telling yourself you have to make it to weigh in day. Once you get there you will be so excited...and motivated for the next week.

It gets so much better, you start to have tons of energie. Plus when your first weeks weigh in comes around then youll know its all worth it. The headaches and tiredness wont last at all just get past the first few days and youll be on your way!

Work through, I'm on day 19 and i'm down 21 pounds. You'll find your groove, tell someone who can support you, it makes it easier.

your pants will begin to fall off, that is a great feeling.

I think I am in Ketosis. The last few days my energy level has skyrocketed - almost manic. I am cleaning out closets, go to bed at 10 a.m. wide awake at 5 a.m. My overall appetite is really low. In fact, I have 100% NO interest in food - boring, boring, boring.

Another side effect that is great is that my husband and I are enjoying a second honeymoon.

Is this Ketosis???

you can go get the Ketone strips at your pharmacy. its like 10 bucks for 100 strips, and you just pee on one. You should test at night. after about 3-4 days you should be in ketosis. And yes, it sounds like you are. If you have no interested in food, also you release ketones in your pee and breath... so If you have really bad breath, and sometimes you can even taste it... then that means your in ketosis. And happy Honeymoon!! Im sure your husband is loving it! ;)

Ketone strips are actually not very accurate for the purposes of Ideal Protein (I have a diabetic husband and have had them around for years because of that) - if you are drinking enough water they will barely register anything, if at all. Save your money and just follow the sheet, ketosis happens thanks to the super low amount of carbs we are eating.

I know a lot of people found the first day or the second day to be worst. For me, it was the first four days. Just keep your head down and get through the first week. Lots of water and be good to yourself. Nice thoughts. Supportive thoughts. Hugs from me!

Does anyone experience nausea? I am on Day 2 of IP and I am extremely nauseous.

How much lettuce does one have to eat? What is unlimited. Ugh. :o
