Default Just wanted to say hello

Hi everybody, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Rebecca and I've just started on the Ideal Protein Diet. I don't know how much weight I've lost yet (if any) because I'm not weighing myself until I go to the clinic on the 26th for my first weigh in.

But, I'm excited and hopeful it will work. Thanks for this forum. Its nice to have the support and the expertise!

Rebecca

Rebecca

Welcome, Rebecca! I was skeptical about Ideal Protein when I first started because I've never had long term success with any other diet program, but 10 weeks and 34 pounds later I am a believer. This program is amazing and it works! My only caveat is that you really have to stick to the rules and not deviate or you won't lose as quickly. That being said, this forum is a true wealth of information on how to do that while providing terrific support at the time. My advice is to check in here regularly and it will become part of your IP routine. We're all here for you if you have any questions and be sure to check out the stickies that have a ton of useful info for when you are just beginning. Again, welcome, Rebecca!

So let me ask you guys. Today is my fifth day following the diet. The first day I screwed up a little and ended up eating something I shouldn't. But I called the coach, she confirmed I'd been wrong, and then I've been correct, I believe, ever since. I really felt pretty lousy the first four days. Sort of blah. Headachy and a little light headed when I'd stand up.
But, today, day 5. I feel better. Good, even. How long did it take you to feel this way? Am I on track to where you were? Or did it take me longer? I'm just curious.

I think you're right on track. It can take that long for all the sugars and carbs to "detox" from your body. You're well on your way!

I only had one day where I felt really crummy, day 3 I had a wicked headache and just felt pretty lethargic, by day 4 I felt wonderful with lots of energy and wasn't the least bit hungry and it has been a pretty easy ride since.

Seems about right to me. Great incentive not to cheat as I don't want to go through that again.
