IP Recipes
Hi everyone,
I've been on ideal protein for 13 weeks, and am down 33 lbs so far. I've been posting some recipes here--feel free to enjoy! Unlimitedlettuce.blogspot.com Ideas include a rhubarb "apple"sauce, cinnamon chicken, and other things. I try to post one recipe a week at least. Hope some of these are helpful! Debra |
They look like great recipes! You and I have lost about the same amount of weight. Don't you feel great? I do!
|
I agree, there are some good ones I'd like to try. Kicking up a chocolate shake with some red pepper sounds really good for today.
|
Thanks for sharing! I just spent some time there and it was great. I especially like your prep for the week ideas. I try but usually don't do too well with that. I tend to "wing it" but it is difficult at times, especially when the kids and I are running late for school and work.
|
Thanks for the great site!
On the cabbage rolls, would Garam Masala work? It seems to be made of most of the spices you mentioned. Also, what flavored boullion cubes did you mean? I'm assuming beef... |
Great Blog!! Thanks for sharing!
|
Thanks, Debra, for the great ideas. I am putting ancho chili and jicama on my shopping list for today! Thank you for sharing.
|
I'm so glad you are all enjoying the recipes. I'm having a great time focusing my energy on new recipes and sharing them--it's very cathartic for me. I am feeling great on IP--I'm at my lowest weight in about 15 years, and I am still 45 lbs from my goal!
I'll keep posting new recipes and tips each week on the blog--if you all want I can put a note here when I do. I just posted a recipe for homemade sugar-free ketchup. For the stuffed cabbage: Garam masala--I love that spice blend, and I think it could work. I used chicken bouillon cubes but beef are fine too. Let me know how it goes for you! |
There are already recipe threads and I think it would be a good idea to keep everything together.
Lots of info for newcomers is available at the top of the forum in the stickies and also on the daily thread..very first post, every day. May I suggest re-posting on the recipe thread, just to keep everything together and then closing this thread? Here is a link to the current recipe thread:Ideal Protein Diet Recipes #3 |
Love it! Going to bookmark. Thanks, and congrats on your success!!
|
Debra, it would be great if you posted a reminder her too! The recipes are great!!! I appreciate all of the work that you did and your willingness to share!!!
I am a great cook but just haven't been in the mood for a while now but following recipes helps me out! |
Thanks! I did as suggested and reposted in the recipes section.
|
thank you, i wouldn't have found this lost in the huge recipe threads
|
oh, oh, oh, oh oh! :) I love chocolate with chile peppers! I was wondering if it would work in a shake (I used to do hot chocolate with chipotle pepper). Thank you so much for having a recipe like that and sharing it. Can't wait to try it.
|
Debra, thanks for posting the link to your blog! I will be bookmarking that for sure, and can't wait to try some of your recipes. I enjoyed reading your blog--looks like we are on parallel tracks--same weight loss goal and I agree with your choices for favorite IP foods! I too tend to like the sweet packets and look at them as sort of an "extra" treat instead of part of the meal.
Best of luck for the rest of your journey! Looks like you are doing great! |

You are amazing! I just read your unlimited lettuce blog from start to finish and we are in the exact same boat. I have a 3 yr old boy and a 1 yr old girl who obviously won't be doing IP with my husband and I. I am 200 lbs (sheepish) and I want to lose 50. I am dong an alternative plan starting in Wednesday so I am trying to get recipes/game plan etc together. I am scared about the planning, prep time and water intake. Thanks for sharing your recipes.

My latest obsession: Massaged Kale Salad. It tastes exactly like tabbouleh, which I love, but it's got the superfood power of the amazing kale. We are literally fighting over who gets to take the leftovers for lunch.
