Ok ladies...you guys too! How about 30 pounds by Thanksgiving? That would bring all of us closer to goal and I'm guessing we all could use a new challenge right about now. .
Summer is over. It's cooler and much nicer for all of us to walk. Plus, this will get us all focused so that we can be stronger for all those food based times that will be facing us before we know it.
Let's go for it.............30 by T-day!!!!!
That is a little ambitious, maybe 20 lbs by T-day. I guess it depends on how much you have to lose, but many people only lose an average of 1.5 -2 lbs/wk. Go for it by all means, but I don't want people to be discouraged if they don't get that much off.
Thanks for starting this thread. It may be somewhat ambitious, but I say aim for the moon and if you land among the stars then it's all good too (as the saying goes). I figure for the month of September I will just concentrate on losing 10 pounds, and the same thing for Oct. and Nov. If I don't make it it will be okay because I know I will just be that much closer.
No pressure now gals! I know 30 is a lot. But 10 sounded like not enough. 20 is probably more realistic. But, I'm tired of being realistic!
As long as we give it our best, what have we got to lose? Get it? Yikes!
My family usually cooks a 25 pound bird for turkey day. So I'm ready to lose a bird! How about you?
I'm in, too, of course. But my average weight loss is 1.8-2.2 lbs per week. It's slow and very steady and I'm happy with it. I'm 100% and have not gone off program since I began in June.
I'll aim for the moon, but take 25-30 by Thanksgiving and 35 by Christmas. I will be AT GOAL by Christmas, which is 36 more!
I'm not sure how to post an excel chart, similar to the one that Kaypix posted for the summer challenge. Anyone know how?
i vote for just weight if that's alright with everyone. My coach takes my measurements, but truthfully I only pay attention to, "you lost inches", vs. how many I actually lost.
You are such an ambitious gal, scorbett! Go for it. Those of us that like to chart progress will be in like Flynn. Those that just don't like the details but love the progress, can just roll their eyes at the charters. A place for all of us. But, however you get there, the end results are something we can all be happy about.
We owe this journey our best efforts. It's hard work. It ain't cheap. It ain't for sissies, that's for sure.
Let's go girls!
