welp...the gastric distress (no more TMI necessary) I have experienced this afternoon has confirmed my plans to eliminate blatant gluten (durum wheat flour in the rotini, for example) in IP packets

Luckily my coach will allow me to exchange packets so I'll take my other one back.

Sorry to hear this Lisa. Hopefully eliminating the gluten will help. Did you know that the Wheat Belly author is coming out with a cookbook (something to look forward to after IP)?

I finally cooked my pasta. I really enjoyed it. It will be my once a week treat. I made a pasta sauce with tomato, bell pepper, onion and 8oz ground bison. I split the pasta and sauce into two servings (lunch and dinner).

I agree. Just tried some (Proti-Thin) tonight for the first time. Was a little chewy, don't know if I should have cooked it a little longer, but I still liked it!

I was amazed at how identical looking the two are (Proti-Thin and IP).

A lot of manufacturers rebrand their products. It's TOTALLY possible they ARE the exact same product just under private labels.

I'm trying to re-set tastes so I won't want things. Pasta is one of them. I tried it and had an adverse GI reaction. I'm glad. Now I won't have the "taste" for more.

I had a friend who used to say "it tastes like more"
If something tastes that good, I'll overeat it & that got me to my current condition. I avoid the IP bars and cookies for this reason.

I'm re-learning how to eat and how to make selections in restaurants that leave me satisfied but not stuffed.

I'm "with you" on that flavor you mentioned but, it too, tastes like more!
