Walden Farms has alfredo pasta sauce and a bacon dip and blue cheese dip. Has anyone tried these? I like creamy sauce on my pasta too, that with a grilled eggplant - that might be good.

I get my Walden Farms stuff at Netrition.com, they're in New York, so I get it in a day or two - shipping is only $4.95 for the 48 contiguous states no matter how much you buy and they have what I assume is everything. Our grocery store only carries the honey mustard & ranch salad dressings.

I wonder how big the serving of the pasta is?

I wonder if you could make baded pasta dishes with it - if it holds up?

Maybe they'll come out with an unrestricted Spagetti Bolonagse now.

I've used the Alfredo Sauce with shrimp and asparagus over the miracle noodles... it is a little watery (as I find many of the WF products) but it does the trick for DH and I! ;0) Enjoy!

I too am wondering how big of a 'portion' the pasta is? And if it is a protein meal then adding meat of any kind would put you over the allowable limit wouldn't it??? Just asking!

Looking forward to hearing your reviews on this once you try it:)

Wonderful

So I cooked the pasta for my lunch tomorrow. I tried a plain noodle and honestly it tastes like whole wheat pasta.
I made some homemade red sauce, just with cooked tomatoes and spices, and added a little bit of hamburger, and some roasted veggies.
So tomorrow i feel as though I will be treating my self to a yummy lunch rather than soup!!!
:D

How was the final version when you had it at lunch? What was the portion size like? I'm hoping to get this from my clinic this week but also don't want to shell out the $30 before hearing any reviews!

I can't wait to get this and put some of LizR's roasted red pepper puree on it -- so much better than marinara you buy and all veggies :)

The Proti-Thin brand portion size is fairly small (maybe what a 'real' serving of regular pasta should be???). The taste is pretty good; I've had it with LizRR's roasted red pepper sauce and with WF Marinara sauce. I've also cooked it up and added it to a homemade veggie soup...Mmmmm:) Am going to try it in a baked cassarole this next week with some chicken stock, chopped veggies, and maybe a bit of seasoned tomato sauce.

Lorette - you're right - the pasta is a 'packet', so adding meat to it is a double serving of protein. One solution might be to add the full 8 oz of lean meat, then divide the entire dish into 2 meals. Just a thought...

Another option would be to have the pasta as your packet, and use 2-4 oz of your dinner protein with it - then just reduce your dinner protein by that amount!

I tried it today with 1c of mushrooms and a sauce I tried to make with 1c of spinach. It tasted okay, but I probably wouldn't buy it again unless I had some we Alfredo sauce.

I ordered it yesterday, waiting on my alfredo sauce, will try with some garlic sauteed and mushrooms.

This is going to be great! I LOVE making homemade sauces in the crockpot so I think I'll do that! I fill the crockpot with mushrooms, zucchini, garlic, tomatoes, spinach and anything else I can think of. Then add my spices, a bit of olive oil, a large can of crushed tomatoes and let it cook overnight. Delicious!

Plainprotein.com has it in stock. Mine is in the mail. I told my coach that I ordered it since my clinic hasn't even heard of it and she is eager to hear my review.

Based on the packaging, the serving size is 1.5oz. That's pretty good considering a "normal" pasta serving is 2oz.

Nobyl, I am very jealous you met Jillian!!
