Lightbulb Is Jerky okay?

I don't plan on eating it for dinner lol, but in those pinches I forgot to bring something to eat (very rare) or I am stuck somewhere longer than I thought I would be with no snacks (veggies) is this okay to have?

I was stuck at work Saturday longer than expected and started to feel ill (just getting over stomach flu) and forgot my mixer cup and was worried about making anything without it.... and the cafe is not open on Saturdays for veggies and the one vending machine they have didn't have any stocked like they sometimes do.

I spotted the Jerky and wondered since it's high in protein low in carbs wondered. I didn't have any because I didn't want to have something I shouldn't!

This is from a package of Jack's Link Original Jerky

Did you read the ingredients? Was there added sugar?
Most commercial jerkies add sugar and that would be a no.
I'm guessing that is where the 3g carbs is from?

I used to have a dehydrator and made my own without sugar. I sure wish I still had that...

I have packets stashed in my car & purse that can always be mixed in a store-bought bottle of water in a pinch, if you've already had a restricted and can't have one of those (I have bars stashed too)

Packaged jerky contains sugar and lots of salt. I would stay away from it. I make my own at home so I know it is safe. I happen to have a batch in the dehydrator right now.

And like Lisa suggested, keep spare packs around. I usually have a couple RTDs at work just in case. I use these so I don't need to have my shaker or worry about whether I can have restricted.

Shoot! I knew I meant to look at something! Thanks ladies, I knew it was the sugar I wanted to look at and forgot!

I had a strawberry waffer bar at work but had gotten sick eating one the day before so didn't want to risk it again (might take me a week to want to eat one again!) lol I am hoping my coach has some RTD in stock this week! She was all out last week!

FYI, looked it up online, sugar is #3 in the list! Thanks again!
