I was going to say - the fat free cream is a LOT more likely to be your problem. Remember that if it's not on the sheet, it should be 0 carbs, 0 sugars and 0 fat. Most fat free cream has about 3g carbs per 2 Tbsp. If you are drinking a lot of coffee with that kind of cream, you may be taking in more than a packet's worth of carbs without the protein and nutritional benefit.

Hmm...I've always heard that is what 3-4 oz looks like, which is a typical serving on many diets.

Thanks everyone!!! I have a scale for my meat and it has been a big help. 8oz is a big portion. I like to think, esp on hungrier days, wow I get to eat a 1/2 a pound of meat!!
So if I cook a chicken, it won't matter if it's weighed raw or cooked?? Same goes for veggies. I am pretty good at eyeballing before and after but things like mushrooms, mashed cauliflower are hard.
I have been cruising the recipes as well.
I guess it's a work in progress, getting completely into the groove.

Thankfully my running is going well still - especially now that I have the caloric intake to sustain what I'm doing - and now that I'm actually confronted with them I'm finding that making the right choices is easier than I'd feared it would be. So just a check in from 'the other side' to say hi and that it's not THAT bad over here, all things considered!!!
Thank you or sharing

Happy Thursday! Congratulations on all the losses & NSV's!

Newbie on her 5th day of IP and still learning what I like/don't like. I just had to order more IP packets

You are correct - I double checked a few resources, but a meat portion the size of a deck of cards is going to be about 3-4 ounces. We should be eating double that

I stand corrected. Thanks Lisa I have "man" hands and sausage fingers so I think my palm is more in the 6 oz range

Been a rough week. For some reason, my depression has kicked in high gear. I've been able to stay OP, except I did have an extra bar yesterday. Hoping this funk ends soon. Been some slow losses lately, but still losses. I don't think the stress/anxiety has helped. Oh well, this too will pass!

Hey everyone! I wish I could get on my computer earlier in the day to join conversations but here I am! First, 8 oz. of meat is A LOT of meat. I wasn't eating close to enough, then I bought a scale. I started losing weight faster after I increased my meat to the suggested amount. I'm on phase 2 and 16 oz. of meat is SO much!!

I'm still struggling with the staff change at my WI center. I found out that they told a friend of mine that this program may not be for her. How dare they??? She has lost 35 lbs on IP and has a LONG way to go. It is working, she just had a bad week. They just gaver her an excuse to quit, hopefully she won't. They told her she can't have spinach as lettuce, they told me I don't have to eat 8 oz of meat. It's not good.

Had my WI today. I lost 2 lbs and am now starting Phase 2. Very excited about the change in eating. Everyone keeps asking me when I am going to stop losing weight. They tell me I am getting to skinny. I don't see it but I have made it to my goal and am ready to start the next phase of this journey.
