Question Tom

I am curious about TOM I have read alot on one of the threads that many woman have it non stop or very irregularly... I was in my TOM during my first week of IP and I am now du again. The thing is I have had no symptoms of it and I normally put on a few pounds before I start and this morning I actually had a loss...

I am not sure what to think of this but has anyone not had it at all? I get paranoid when I am late and don't want to start freaking out just yet...

Week 15 WI this morning down 4.2lbs and 2" in 2 weeks. I was on vacation last week. We were going to Williamsburg VA on Friday morning and by Friday night we were going to DisneyWorld due to the storm. Even with all the repacking and lack of preparation I stayed OP 100%. I took all our food into the parks all four days to help with cost, but it made it easy for me to eat my veggies as well. While we were on vacation we found out my husband got a new job in NJ. We have both lived our whole lives in TN. We have been in the same house our whole marriage. Steeeeessssssful times. So I am pleased with my loss.

I had my WI this morning... 2.8 lbs this week. I finally hit the 50 lb mark!! 28 of those was on WW, and 22 with IP. I see many more with IP! 44.6 to go til I hit my goal. Woohoo!

And a NSV- my birthday was Sunday. I had set this day aside since I started IP as a "cheat day" if needed. I told myself this diet would be difficult, and if I need a day, it would be my birthday where I could eat what ever I want. The day came and I didn't feel like I needed it. We celebrated my birthday just the same, I just made different choices.

I know what you mean - seems like when I hit my mid 40's, my middle spread like there was no tomorrow - and then menopause hit, and wow.....

Maybe a suggestion to take some of your larger clothing and put on the swap board for people who want to get rid of their larger sizes and those looking for newer, smaller sizes. By getting rid of the larger sizes, you may be more motivated to keep those 20 lbs off and maintain. I'm no expert, I just know that I, too, seem to struggle with the same pounds and inches, and by getting rid of "safety nets" (larger sizes) it makes me more motivated to NOT FAIL and to stay healthy. IP, for me, has been about better health just as much as it has been about weight loss. When I went for my checkup a couple of months ago, my blood pressure & cholesterol were way up, and my glucose level was high as well - and I wanted to reverse it - as well as take some weight off. I'm anxious to see what the blood work will show when I go back after the first of the year. I know the scale will definitely show an improvement!

Women store estrogen in our fat cells, so when we lose weight fast, it kind of floods our systems with hormone - that can throw off your cycles and your symptoms. I actually skipped a period when I first started IP, then got it, then got it again 2 weeks later. Now my body seems to have caught up and I got it on time this month.

Starting day 3 here. Feel better this morning. Not as hungry...not as headachy. Just signed up to volunteer again for the indernational film festival that happens here in February. I checked the box indicating that I preferred an XL tee! XXL was way too tight last time, so...Here's to thinking optimistically

Good Morning Everyone!

Today is my step daughters 21st birthday and we are taking her out for dinner to celebrate with all the grandparents. It should be a fun evening. I looked at the menu online where we are going and there are lots of choices. I think I might take some WF dressing along for my salad. I will be drinking water or iced tea and no alcohol and no cake or whatever dessert they bring. For me the focus will be celebrating her birthday by spending some time with her and the rest of the family. I am looking forward to seeing my MIL...she has not seen me or my Dh since we started IP.

I hope everyone has a great 100% OP day. Happy Hump Day too!
