  • How are you guys going to handle the holiday? normal routine? or are you gunna give yourself a little cheat day. My mother who lost 80 pounds on IP had her coach tell her around the holidays a cheat day was ok but the next day had to be back to the basics again. What are your guy's thoughts?
  • People have been chatting about this off and on for a while, but the post got buried on a different page. I bumped it up for you...here is the link, too! http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/idea...-thoughts.html
  • I've been on IP since August 1st, I'm down 63 pounds. I have decided to have a controlled cheat day. A little turkey, stuffing, gravy, peas, mashed potatoes, squash. I'm not having alcohol or dessert. I am confident that I will be right back on plan the next day. Good luck with what ever you decide to do!!
  • Staying on plan as discussed in previous threads
  • 100% on plan! I purchased a Protidiet Cranberry/grape drink mix so that i can have my "wine" too.
  • I posted in the holiday thread too, but I absolutely plan to stay 100% through the holidays. I can't justify the setbacks in my weight loss just for one event, for me it has to be about having fun with friends and family, and not about the food.

I have a plan, with OP veggie puree "gravy", steamed veggies, and even on-plan sweet "fauxtato" (rutabaga) pie for dessert. There will be plenty of holidays once I've reached goal to indulge in - the longer I stay 100% on plan the faster I get there
  • So looking forward to 8 oz of roast turkey, steamed veggies, and a big salad! Planning on 100% OP--for me, it is not worth being out of ketosis for 4 days and spending $50 on IP products to have my weight loss stall. I'm really scared of the stories of difficulties people have had getting back on track. Besides, nothing will taste as good as a pair of skinny jeans will feel! Happy Thanksgiving to all, whatever you decide to do.
  • I'm staying 100% OP. I have lost 47lbs so far, and going strong. One day will not change that. I don't want to go through getting to ketosis again, and I know that while stuffing and potatoes will be yummy, I will feel terrible after I eat them, just like I do every year. So, roasted turkey, roasted broccoli, cauliflower mash and salad are on my menu.
  • Happy Thanksgiving to all my 3FG American friends! The decision must be extremely difficult for many of you on how you're going to handle being on protocol over the holiday.

Enjoy your families and the time you get to spend together and GO SHOPPING!
  • For myself, I don't see any reason not to be OP. It's just food.

I'm planning on having the turkey, salad and some roasted veggie's along with the IP stuffing and LizRR's gravy puree. I will also be making the cheesecake bites from Rainbows recipe thread for desert. I love those things, they taste like cheesecake brownies.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
  • I'll be 100 % OP. Cheat Days are not on my IP sheet.

    B - Crispy Cereal
L - Mushroom soup with 1 cup mushrooms and 1 cup zuchinni
D - Turkey , Salad with broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, peppers, radishes, and tomato to add up to 2 cups vegetables
    S - cappuccino
  • Happy Thanksgiving! I will be 100% OP
  • I'm only 7 weeks in and I'm not going to risk falling off the IP wagon. I've already made plans for what I'll eat. I'm thrilled with finally losing weight and that's enough for me

My new mantra "eat to live, not live to eat"!
  • Holidays are even more important reason to stay on plan
  • Staying 100% OP. I'll have turkey, veggies and a chocolate raspberry bar for dessert. It's not worth it to lose ground to me. The other food will be there later.
