  • Quote: Saw by PCP yesterday and he referred to me as the Shrinking ......
Told me you smaller than your daughter ....said only shorter not thinner.

He is very proud of my progress.

I love my Doctor he never ever lectured me about my weight ...always laid out things for me ! We worked on my health care needs collaboratively.
To have he show pride in my weight loss ...someone who I admire and have worked with him in the past in ICU so I know what a great Doctor and person he is .... It's the Cherry on the Sundae for me!
    Roo2
Totally IP friendly Sundae though, right?
  • Quote: As I've discarded my larger sizes, I've often thought that there were probably people here who would love to have some of my things. Many were like new; they just didn't fit anymore. I wonder if we could set something up here ...
There IS a clothing exchange thread to be bumped up.
The problem is that we're all so spread out!
I could REALLY use some nice clothes tho. Most of the 2nd-hand items I'm finding are pretty worn & buying new for 6-8 weeks is just silly.

I think there are probably a number of great core threads that we need to make the effort to bump up to the top. All these miscellaneous threads are really bogging things down.

I'm kicking myself for including a few things I did in the charity pickup last week. I'll let you know before I give away anything else. I suspect there will be a few more things; I'll keep you posted.
  • NSV: I am now able to wear size 14 jeans. Found a really nice pair at a thrift store.
  • Gotta love the thrift stores as we go thru sizes.
    Congrats
  • Woohoo!! I know that BMI can be controversial - but as of this morning (according to my scale) I am 24.9 and out of the overweight category!!

BMI is still what insurance companies use!
    Good for you!
When I reach 24.9 I will be transitioning to P2.
    Several months yet.

  • Was bound to happen, but still pleasant when it does: my size 14 pants zipped up, don't like the bulge on top so will wait a couple of weeks to wear them to work, but haven't been able to zip them up in 6yrs! Two of them are cords, so will be too big in the fall, but, who cares!

What a great feeling! Congrats on this milestone!

    Congrats!
  • I feel good
Today, I was back in the office (for one day only) since March Break. I have been on the road alot for work and the next two months are the busiest time of the year for me.

Well, 6 people stopped me to say how great I looked and how small I was getting.
I have gone from a 2X to a size 14 (size 14 is getting big, very loose, smallest size of my skinny clothes in my closet)

One person came into my office and said rather loudly that my tush looked so tiny. Well I'll be damned. I have NEVER, and I mean NEVER had a small tush not even when I weighed 118 lbs in high school and university.

Now that made my day, especially since I have not lost a pound in two weeks even though I am staying OP.

I have had huge cravings for some reason (think the hormones are out of whack with all this weight loss) even though I am OP.

Let me tell you, this is exactly what I needed to keep me going and staying OP.

I feel good, dah, dah, dah, dah dah and I knew that I would... Yes.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

yeah, might make the dresses I want to fit into this summer fit better...
Here's my brag: went to the mall to run errands, and it occurred to me that I might get tempter. Well, I bypassed all the usual haunts to get from one end of the mall to the other and nothing, nada...not even a tummy grumble as I passed the food court. Two hours later, got in the van, downed my water and thought, wow, I NEVERr thought that would happen. Not tempted, not "sad" cause I couldn't sit and eat a burger, no feelings of poor me. Just wonderful. Thanks IP!!!!
