Default Egg Beaters & Protein oz. Question

Hi Everyone!
My coach said I can use Egg Beaters as a snack if I get hungry since they are low in calories. I bought the "southwest flavor" and this morning I literally threw 1/3 cup in a mug with .5oz of turkey breast with salt/pepper and had a quick breakfast (on the go). Is this ok to do??? Anyone else use egg beaters?

Also, yesterday I counted up my total protein oz for the day and I was at 9.5oz!!! EEEK... I didn't mean to go over I'm only on my first week, you think this will stall my weight loss? My home scale is broken so I am nervous about my Saturday morning weigh-in.

PS. Just want to say that this site is SO incredibly helpful... I started on Monday and everyone on this forum is so encouraging and I love reading about everyone's diet journeys...YAY GO US!

1/3 of a cup looks like the equivalent of 2 egg whites. From white I was told 2 egg whites a day were a freebie.

I think you will be fine having that amount each day. I have my egg whites every morning.

I don't personally use egg beaters - it's cheaper for me to just buy eggs and use the whites - and there are no carbs (i think EB have 1g carbs). But I will sometimes do a 2 egg white omelette for breakfast and have my morning packet as a mid-morning snack, depending on how my day is going to be.

An extra ounce of protein isn't going to make or break your success - you just don't want to consistently overdo the protein...it can be taxing on our kidneys.

I echo the above. That extra protein won't hinder your weight loss for the week..just try to be careful. I use egg beaters quite often, I mix them with one regular egg and it makes more, fills me up more. Where i'm from eggs are WOW expensive!! Sometimes I will put the equivalent of 2 egg whites in my shakes too..
