Default OH....MY...GOODNESS....I cannot keep on plan!!!

I am generally awesome with sticking on plan, but I have been struggling with weekends..BIG time. The last two months have been a failure. I have not gained anything, but I have not lost much and it is 100% MY OWN FAULT!!!

I need to get back on the train and hit my goal! I only have 20-25 pounds to go depending on where I want to end up ultimately...but jeepers...

The weeks days are pretty good because I am so busy. I need a kick in the hiney!!!

It sounds to me like you just did it to yourself. Admitting a problem is usually the first step to solving it.

Planning is KEY on IP.

Where are you falling? What could you plan better to keep yourself on track through the weekend?

You are exactly right!!! I am the only one that can control the choices I make and I am the one who can choose to make them just bad choices or a bad HABIT. Right now, it is a bad habit and I need to get out of it.

The weekends are my weakness, mainly because...well, they always have been the worst for me because it is like a mini vaca from the craziness of the week, but that is no excuse and I know it. I think I have a little cheat here or there and then say "screw it I already an off" and indulge. It is really just recently and I am not sure what my problem is. I need to re-read the book and get back on track so I can rock some even skinnier clothes over the holidays!

The weekends do suck! Try to make a plan and stick to it!
Good luck!

Perhaps you can separate the "weekend" into two parts. This weekend, why don't you try to only struggle with one half of the weekend? Make a commitment to stay on plan on Saturday, for example, and give yourself Sunday. When you've got that wired, give yourself one meal off plan on Sundays, rather than the whole day, etc., until you've gotten your groove back. Also, if you're struggling with being "on plan," then the plan and the weight loss may only last until you've reached your goal. What's "the plan" after you've lost that last 20-25? Perhaps giving yourself relief one meal or one day or even one weekend at a time will help you keep on track long term?

I bet even on those days or weeks where the scale doesn't move, you still feel better than you did a year ago...

I agree, weekends are the worst. Best thing you can do is just muscle through it. Come on this site as much as possible and pretty much suck it up. Tough love time. We all struggle with the weekend, this is not something only you go through. You just have to decide if being successful is worth the cheat or not. Yes, the weekends are the hardest time during this diett, but if you want it bad enough, you will suffer through.

You seem to know what you've got to do. Don't cheat. You have to have items like lettuce, pickles (when you crave chips) and cucumbers ready to snack on when you desire to eat something. I get through the weekends by spreading my items throughout the day so I am not as hungry. Remember, you can divide your lean protein up if that helps you make it. Giving yourself little excuses now, will not help you when you reach your goal. You will just gain it back. Learning to make better choices during the rough days will help you have long-term success. It is not easy, but pat yourself on the back everytime you make a better choice. If you do cheat-you need to plan to cheat so it is not spontaneous and you have a game plan for the next three days to get back on track.

You're doing so well, don't start sabotaging yourself now! The faster you get back on program, the faster you get to phase 4 cheat days! You're almost there...don't settle for less than your best you

I agree weekends are a struggle, but the longer you are 100% OP, the easier it gets. Make a commitment to yourself not to cheat.

Since you have more time on the weekends, try making some of the items from the recipe threads. That might help with cravings and also distract you from whatever you were tempted by.

Also, plan ahead. If you know you will be out all day, try packing some ready to drinks and bars so you will be able to stay OP.

You can do this! Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!

Thank you all so much for the advice and tough love! I am so close and I need to push through. Hubby buying gelato all the time and people bringing pumpkin bars to work does not help, but I need to gain control and make this happen. Thank you all again!

Someone told me that once you go off plan you never get it back and it has stuck in my head and I fear they were right
