Default Help and advice for guests and travel

Hello All, I have been reading this blog for a couple of weeks. I have not started posting much, but I very much appreciate all of the great advice and guidance. I need HELP. Over the next 2 weeks, I have out of town guests for about 4 days, a 2 day business trip, then a personal trip for 4 days.

I will be in the airport and at various events during all of this. I am going to TRY to stay on plan 100%. I know this will be a big challenge, but I really want to try.

This diet has been fairly easy living here in my own little world, I am a little worried about when my real world starts

Any advice, tips or suggestions for me?

Thank you so much

U can do it. It's easier now to find OP food in the airport. Just eat salads and get a buger with no bun. Travel with your shaker and powders since they can get through airport security. When your guests r over make all OP food on the grill with big salads....if u do a side pasta dish just don't eat it.

It's all a mind set.

I was traveling last week for work. The Starbucks at the airport usually has a little veggie pack with fat free ranch dressing. I bought that for the plane (didnt eat the dressing or the carrots) and ate one of my bars while on the flight.I also brought a big bottle of water with me on the plane.

I brought some of the single serve WF dressings in case I couldnt get just olive oil and vinegar for my salads.

Planning, planning planning!! That will keep you on plan. Pre-cut veggies travel well. Bars travel well, and for unrestricteds, make Crispy Cereal pancakes ahead of time and reheat them wherever you are. You can always find bottled water, so shakes and your shaker will travel well too. Try and find out ahead of time if you will be going to a restaurant and call to see if they have a gluten- and dairy-free menu, or options that will fit. That way if you go out you will already know what is safe to order.

I have treated guests the same way I handle my family - I try to cook IP friendly for everyone (like roast pork, steaks, burgers, plain chicken) but if guests want to go out, I check ahead with the restaurant to make sure I know what's safe for me to order.

You can do it, it just requires some planning and commitment!
