I was having weeks that I hardly lost anything so I gave up the Mio and red, yellow, and orange peppers because of advice of my coach. Know what? Nothing changed. My losses are still as slow as ever (but still a loss) I will be eating my peppers again. I don't need the Mio.
I was almost in tears - we did my measurements, body fat - all the same and the scale only went down 1.5. I tried so hard and it really was a tough go for me with the meat and stuff that I'm not used to eating. Glad to hear I'm not the only one though - I felt like a complete failure.

I was expecting that, but I was still hoping to lose maybe 3 my first week (I've even done that on WW) and then have it slow down. I was really hoping to average 2 per week. I'm really hoping it will be better next WI.

The extra 16 cal and 2g carbs are NOT going to throw off your weight loss.
Yeah clearly that's the case. I remember at WW there used to be these big arguments over now many baby carrots constituted a serving. The leader reminded us that it wasn't baby carrots that got us to WW, and in the same vane, one red pepper in a week isn't going to be the difference between a pound of weight loss - although my Coach honestly believes it is. I won't eat them this week, but even if I do have a better loss, I can't imagine it being that.
She said they are higher in surgar than the green ones - but we are talking ONE PEPPER here, not a case.
Slow2lose, I don't know what your coach bases her belief on, but I too, like the others, don't think one red bell pepper prevented your weight loss (it does seem silly). However when she said not enough water, I think she is on to something there! Also about the fat measurements, I read John say in a different thread that those have 8% variation or something like that. Maybe he can repeat it here - John?
I had my first weigh in and only lost 1.5 pounds - she is convinced it's the red pepper (I ate one in the seven days) and not enough water. So this week I'm upping the water and taking out the red pepper.
It is more likely because you do not have much to lose and are working out, not the peppers. Is she measuring muscle and fat too or just weight?

I got over the initial dissapointment and moved on to a new week. I have really increased my water intake. I dont have a lot of faith in those hand held devices on a weekly basis - maybe over a month.
Yeah she goes on and on about red peppers - I don't know what they ever did to her LOL. I agree with you folks but I won't argue the point with her.
I have eaten at least 2 cups of red peppers almost every day and have lost 90 lbs in 32 weeks - I had some slower weeks, but had a loss of some type - I wouldn't have made it without them.

Agreed. I ate them all the time in P1, they were my tomato substitute when i pureed them...i still use them on P4.
