Well y'all. It's Monday again. I was another 2 pounds down on my weekend WI. Passed the 40 lb loss mark with a jeans jacket in xl. The family said---take it back, it's too big. Really,?.it buttons. But I went back and got the large...which fits...but only buttons...soft of. You know, in the middle. They said...it will, in just a few short weeks.
They see me differently than I see myself. They know I can finish this diet.
This is hope for a Monday ! Stay op and go for it!

I say listen to your family and leave the too big stuff on the rack! LOL I bought a few pair of pants two weeks ago and now I keep having to "hike them up" as they're falling. I went and got the next size down and it's "doable" and I know I'll be able to wear them for more than 2 weeks (or hopefully not! LOL)

That next size down will be "comfortable" soon and you'll know you lost some more. Way to go!!!!

Hi everyone. Just had a NSV here at work. A lady I work with asked how much more I planned to loose. She was worried about me. She said that if I lost too much more it would stop looking good and would look sickly. I take that as a huge compliment!

I have my WI this afternoon. I hope for some big news.

Good Morning,
First, STICK WITH IT.
if you've stuck with it from the start, 1/2 lb is probably nothing more than fluid retention/TOM junk. Try drinking herbal teas to relieve som of that bloated/ retaining stuff. You will be pleasantly surprised once it passes.

Also, how much you want to loose and your body plays a role. The more you need to loose, the more you tend it loose in the beginning.
I don't have much to loose ( I did that years ago) so mine is coming off at a snails pace.....but my measurements are smaller. So success in small doses for me.

This forum is fab! So much info and so many wonderful encouraging people to help each other on the journey.

Stay with it, it will happen.

Your patience is just getting a little exercise today dear

Good job on the weigh in! I think your family gave you some good advice on the sizing.

That is normal. Your body stores estrogen in your fat and releases it when you are losing the fat. I felt blah the the first 8 weeks, I've finally gotten past that. I'm not sure if it's because I found out about the estrogen thing on here and realised why, or if my body is getting used to it.

The 1/2 lb gain is probably water retention from TOM. Don't worry, as long as you stay OP, it will drop after TOM.

That is definitely a NSV!

Congrats on the large! I was shopping with a friend and we were sharing a dressing room and I tried on a size 12 jean and they fit and my friend and I started whooping in the dressing room and the salesclerk knocked on the door and asked if all was OK...we started laughing and said yes. Got some weird looks when we walked out (it was really busy so we shared the room..lol). Made it to onederland this weekend and I feel great! Been 100% OP and it works! Havent been under 200lbs in 17 years!

Yay onderland! Congratulations!

Well, I am having a good week so far (week starts Saturday) after a not-so-great week last week (too many bars; these are not good for me--too easy and too candy-like). Whew! Last week of Phase 1, for now anyway. Looking forward to Phase 2 next week. I really like the ease of Phase 1 though. But real food is necessary.

JW, great job! You are nearly there!

I head back to work today. The university students have returned and so must I. I am looking forward to getting back to my "normal" schedule".

I had hoped to be phased off by now but it has been slow going the last few weeks. I am 100% OP but the scale just does not want to move. Tomorrow is WI and I will have to decide what I want to do, I am so close but have been for the last three weeks. Decisions, decisions.

Long day yesterday meant I had just enough energy to catch up on some of the weekend posts and the pass out So many congrats to go around - awesome NSV's, clothing victories, and new entries into OneDerland!!!

Had a few of my own NSVs this weekend - yesterday I was getting changed for church and slipped on a pair of size 16 pants that when I bought them were VERY tight. The last time I put them on 2 weeks ago, they were fitting well. Slipped them on yesterday - I needed a belt! The thighs were loose and the waist kept slipping down I was also able to wear heels for more than an hour without my feet hurting - to me that's evidence that there's less weight to hold up!

Then this morning, I needed a sweatshirt to wear to walk the kiddo to school. On a lark, I grabbed an old band hoodie from the back of the closet - it's a MEDIUM (a bigger medium but still)....last time I tried it on I couldn't even zip it. Well I walked to school with it zipped and a little loose in the tummy area! Woop!

Good luck to everyone with WI today!!! Can't wait to hear about all of those missing pounds!

Me TOO!!! I had 1 fab WI and then TOM... The only "cheat" i had was 2 extra cups of coffee (black) so i had to drink even more water! My plan is to just stick with it and hope for the best! I also noticed that if you look at many women's WI numbers, about every 4th one is lower... We are not alone!
