SLUF is aggressively organizing!! Be on the lookout!

They got to my coach's scale here in Illinois, and would not let me get to the 160's. I officially weighed in at 170 on the dot today!!

I can't complain - it's a (small) loss, but still...

Hi, flutiebills - welcome! There are lots of great ideas here for how to use the packets, so make sure to look around. I got a predetermined set of packets my first week, and found that I did not like some of them. I just don't buy those particular packets anymore. I do really like the chocolate shakes and the peanut butter protein bars.

There are lots of helpful people here who will be happy to share their ideas with you!

Added 1 C water to the mix to cover the meat. 1-1/2 lb of meat so it's really more of an experiment for how the Excalibur dehydrator works and how long it will take etc. Anyway, I'll keep you posted, it is supposed to marinate 24 hours, then let the fun begin!
.....
Jerky Report, Two Thumbs UP (one for taste and one for dehydrator method)! It is a little tangy, salty, and perfectly jerky textured. I will definitely make this again. I put the dehydrator on the jerky setting, and let it run for 5 hours. Worcestershire sauce has little carb count - but honestly I cut it in 1/2 by adding water to the mix, and so much of the marinade is tossed out in the end, I'm not going to count anything for that. The rest is IP good to go!

PLEASE don't just come back here once a week on your weigh in day. This is the greatest place for overcoming anything you might encounter, like what to do with protein packs that aren't to your liking. Ways to turn them into something really great (see the recipes or Rainbow's Mixin in the Kitchin) We're all here for you as support.

Ok Lizzy, you're right, SLUF is spreading like wildfire. Your scale is organizing the central branch. Wingnutandme, is being "welcomed" to the southeast branch. Dana's scale was attacked after it organized the south central branch. I think I've got the branch in the northeast attacking. I know there are others out there. Ladies, let me know. I'm sure it's spreading. I can hear them plotting at night. I've even gone so far as to turn off the night light in the bathroom! It makes it harder to do the middle of the night pee run, but I feel that desperate times call for desperate measures. 171 AGAIN!! This is crazy!
Ok ladies.......be vigilant. I'm sure that by now SLUF has hit the west coast. Possibly as far as the northwest. Be warned. They have become very bold. I think I heard something about crossing the border into Canada. Geesh folks, I don't think it matters if you have a classic scale with the little pointy thing or one of the new whizz bang digital ones.
Be strong ladies. If we band together and vow to be 100% we might be able to wear them down. There is strength in numbers. There is power in IP! We own them. We can take them out!

Question for you all: I went into peri menopause at 39, finished all by 49.... But today I had distinct crampiness on one side. Is it the last estrogen exiting???
I have no idea. Really weird. I am 53 now.
