I think it's good. I use it as a soup with 2c of celery. It is kind of a chicken broth (but more creamy) with bits of what looks like chicken and corn.
Luckily for me my clinic allows us to buy single packs so there isn't much risk to trying it. I had it in my initial samples and have been buying it to have once a week.
I like it with cauliflower added. It is a creamy chicken soup flavor. The dehydrated bits don't always hydrate that well, and can be a little crunchy, but the flavor is good.
I had it in my start-up bag and added broccoli to it and thought it wasn't that bad. As previously said the dehydrated bits didn't all rehydrate, but it is worth a try.
I always cook it on the stove and I have never noticed crunchy bits, but maybe the crunch of the celery hid it. I don't like to cook my celery too much. Mmm, i think I will have it for lunch.
It's not bad, and it's not a restricted item, which is a bonus , i'm trying to keep away from the restricters for a week to see if that gives me a boost
YUMMY!!! I shake it in the morning if I want to eat it for lunch so there are no crunchy bits in there. I tried it on cooked cauliflower. And it does taste like a chicken pot pie without the crust and the chicken. Try it!
I guess I am alone here..but I HATED it. It just tasted awful in my opinion lol
I didn't add anything to it though. Maybe that was the problem? I ended up tossing it after a few bites even though I cant stand wasting food.
Hope you have better luck with it!
It's definitely a "love or hate" thing. On its own I wouldn't recommend it but I use it with my veg purees to thicken them. I'm willing to try it over cauliflower -- that sounded good. However, if you have to buy a case, not sure I'd want 7 of those. Definitely cook it longer, or it's crunchy
If you put the amount of water in it let it set for about a min or two, so that the water can pump up the veggies in it then cook it, once its done let it set for another min or two so that it thickens its better and taste like a chicken pot pie without the crust!
