Hi everyone! I have what may be a weird question...
I noticed last night that my belly fat seems to be almost jelly like and seems to move a lot as I walk. Only I have noticed this, I'm sure nobody else has noticed a thing. Is it possible that the density of our fat changes as we lose weight and continue on the program? I don't really see this in other areas, mostly just my belly... but that is also where I carry the majority of my weight.
I've been on IP since July 3rd and have lost about 24 pounds so far.
Anyway, just curious if anyone else has noticed this... or even if anyone might know the reason... I'm just taking a guess with the fat density idea.
Well I don't know and this might be far fetched, but my dh swears up and down that 'jiggly fat' is easier to lose than 'hard fat' lol, so maybe it's a process.

Thanks and have a great day!
I have heard that fat cells don't always go away, they just shrink. When you gain weight, they fill up again. That is why obese children have a high risk of adult obesity They start life creating and maintaining more fat cells.
A huge factor is toning the muscles under that layer of fat cells. But I think the fat cells stay.
OMG I was just talking to my bf about this last night!! My inner thighs, under arms, belly, and bum are "softer" it feels. Uh oh, guess I better start eating that jello LOL. Maybe it's time to start exercising too.
I started exercising 5-6 weeks ago with weights on alternating days With cardio on the other days. I have also done some Kick butt hikes and bike rides. .(who am I kidding...they were bushwacking expeditions) I love being active and I am fnally getting to a point where it is actually fun again. It might slow my weight loss down, but I don't want to wait until I reach my goal weight to start exercise and firming up.
I definitely am more mushy than ever before, but I think it is the skin, as others have said. My mantra... lose more, exercise more, wear more foundation garments.
