Default New, looking for suggestions.

Hi there,

I just started the IP diet on Sunday. Things have been going well, and I haven't been too hungry, except for the hungry time at 3, and have been making it through that with hot tea.

However, I am about to have a few challenging days ahead of me, and am hoping you guys and gals might have some suggestions to help me out.

First, I have a dinner meeting on Thursday evening. The food will be already prepared. I can bring a meal with me, but am trying to figure out something easy and maybe a little discreet that would still be on plan. Any ideas?

Also, I am going to be going out to dinner a couple of times in the next week. Do you have any suggestions how to survive? My coach said to request my meat "dry-cooked"? I can probably steer one of the meals to a Chinese restaurant where I can get the steamed chicken and broccoli.

Thanks so much!

Could you consider having dinner at lunch time and then having a salad and a bar at the restaurant?

Most restaurants will grill a steak and should have some side veg that's acceptable. Just ask for things steamed and without sauce.

I am also new here and looking for suggestions.
I went for my first WI andI was vry disapponted. He weiged me and ask me if I wanted my blood pressure checked and then told me to go shop.
CanI buy Ideal Protein online? Or do I have to find another clinic?
I had also been sick on 4th day. I had eaten my dinner for lunch and after 5 hours I wasn't hungry but I forced myself to eat 2 cups of veggies anyway. I felt bloated and sick. About 4 hours later I thew it all up and I was sick all night. Should I have listened to my body and not eaten? The coach at he clinic could not answer my question!

Here's what I've done:
Had fish broiled 'dry', i actually packed a salad and side raw veggies as it was a fried fish stand and no way did they have green salad!

I've done broiled fish and grilled steak. I had a hamburger salad at Five Napkins and took out a few of the non OP things and it was AMAZING. To think that was OP was insane.

For the meeting i'd just pack a ready to drink drink and drink that on the sly. I did it this week, and it was no biggie. I thought people would be like OMG but you know no one really cares as long as there is food and drinks for THEM.

Good luck!

Swapping lunch and dinner are a good idea. Then you can just order a dinner salad and not worry about the other stuff. If you don't mind brining your own dressing, you can buy the WF individual salad dressing packets. I keep one in my purse for any unplanned meals out.

I usually just order a steak/chicken/shrimp and steamed veggies and ask them not to cook with or add any butter. I havent had an issue with eating out so far.

You can order IP products at plainprotein.com. I switched to all alternatives in my second week with exception to the supplements. I had issues with the big C when I used alternate supplements. Now I order the IP supplements on plainprotein.com.

Being sick to your stomache could be from low blood pressure, so that might be why your coach asked. There is an alternate Phase I plan for diabetics and people with low blood pressure.

I love the idea of having my main meal for lunch. That will be a lot easier for the dinner meeting.

For dinner, I'll just be careful ordering. I guess I am just nervous as I am just in the first few days of the program, and really want to stay OP.

Great ideas, thanks!
