Way off topic here, but man....
I just found out something here at work that's a bit crazy. We usually have to get a computer certification once a year. That cert is about 25% of our yearly review. I found out my cert had changed from Support Windows 7 to MS SQL Server 2008 about a month ago. Well, I found out today that this cert is going to be 70% of my yearly review! Nothing like a bit of pressure. LOL |

Thanks WUV.
NSV for this weekend: National Guard duty. I just got my uniform ready for this weekend. I got to take all the patches off my Large/Short uniform to my Medium/Short uniform!! I can't wait for everyone to see me. I had to move to Large/Short about 3 years ago. Folks will be so confused that this short round guy is now getting to be a short fit guy! |

JW: Great job on the uniform! Cheers Jake |
Hey folks. Just opened an email today from my clinic. They want permission to share some of my photos and share a 50-100 word narrative from me at an upcoming convention. I'm honored and nervous.

So I had my first weigh in on Friday. Down 6.6lbs and 2% body fat. I was kind of hoping for one of the double digit losses I have seen from others, but I'm not complaining.
Can't wait to see what happens after a month. Quick question though. I was rereading the phase one sheet today and I notice it says no frying. Why is frying bad if I'm not using any more than a teaspoon of oil? Congrats on the request usmcvet. That's great. You will be a great ambassador for the program. |

Nice:D You have worked really hard and I know sharing your experiecne with others will make you feel even better about what you have accomplished. |
Well...just hit the scale and had a 6lb loss this week...better then my 4lbs I seem to usually get! Just lowered my goal down from 240 to 225 as it seems the gut will not be where it used to years ago when I was 240. Man,...getting older sure changes things! Used to be at 240 I was a rock hard beast...now judging by how much fat there still is looks like 225 may be a better goal.
Still obviously very pleased with losing 49lbs in 56 days. I notice where my belly fat used to be hard, it is now jelly-like. Gross. I am guessing that as water is utilized from the fat cells first before they get used as energy via ketosis, the fat cells become less dense...and thus more jelly-like. Like if you remove every other cell it all becomes less "dense". It really is gross and is a tremendous motivator to push the diet harder and get that crap gone and off me. Sure as h*ll hope I am not going to need a wheel barrow to cart around extra skin when this is over... Just thinking out loud. Hey, have a great week gents, and we Harley folk's say: "Keep the shiny side up"! Cheers Jake |
Wow Jake. Great job on your weight loss. Almost a pound a day. I hope I can achieve results like that.
Have a great week everyone. |

Way to go Jake! I am starting to get a little concerned about the extra skin thing as well. The last 10 lbs that I have lost, has not been around my belly. I hoped to lose a couple of more inches around my belly, but it's staying the same. Time will tell.
|
Guys’,
I noticed several months back I had a lot of extra skin where most of my belly used to be:D. I started eating the IP products that have collagen several times a week and taking a high quality supplement every day. I have really noticed a difference in the size of the belly roll at the bottom I guess you could call it. Looks like the loose skin is shrinking back where it belongs. The girls have a thread about collagen suppliments that helped. |
WI Saturday was not all that bad. Lost 1.8# but she said I was retaining a lot of water. She said I had lost 8# of fat but the water weight was keeping the scale from moving. This happened back about week 10 so I know the big loss is coming when the woosh fairy visits.
Jake my motorcycle buddies hung the name “Chainsaw” on me several years ago after a long night with 14 of us sharing a suite at a hotel (I told them they needed ear plugs but they were too drunk to listen). My vest is a 6x. Now I have to figure out how to move all the patches to a new one that doesn’t have near as much fabric to sew to. |
Hey all
Well I am back!!!!! Started IP on Jan 24 this year and after 15 weeks I was down 70 pounds, didn't not cheat once!, I phased off completely and maintained 158-162 lbs for 5 weeks, 5 days of routine, and 2 cheat dinners, and here is when the but comes in! Then hard to tackle 3 months of Mum and Mum in law at our house, I'm and Aussie living in Canada So needless to say my mother being Italian, and a excellent cook and bakery shopper I couldnt be rude and say no to all the treats she cooked and brought, needless to I placed on 12 lbs in those month and decided to jump back on the kart for a month to get back down and continue on the IP way of things! Day 1 today and from what I remember it was easier than the first time around! Looking forward guys! |
