Having a hard time sticking to 100%.
I did amazing the first month on IP. Since a business trip and a weekend with visitors I am finding it hard to get back on track. I am not eating any food that is not allowed, but I am starving and having terrible cravings throughout the day for sweets ( I have always craved salt a majority of the time so this is not like me) and I will have a bit of a bar here and there to quench my craving, but by the end of the day I have eaten an extra restricted.
I know I can do this and I know that once you get past the initial week you lose that craving, but why the heck can't I get back on track 100%?? I have not gained, but I have not lost. Maybe I need a kick in the hiney. So frustrating.

I soooo feel your pain because this is me... I do well all day and think "I'll be 100% OP today" and then I get so hungry I could eat a horse! Today I may be able to do it (except not enough water) and the secret was the spinach shakes. I had 2 of them -- one for breakfast and one for afternoon from my lunch package. By adding LOTS of ice, I was able to get 2-3 thick glasses out of each package and this helped me feel fuller. I just don't want to get sick of the shakes by having them too much. If any one else has "filling" ideas, please share. If I don't have a shake with my lunch salad, I make the soup and add veggies to that and again will then get 2 bowls out of it.
You are NOT alone. I'm a 100% wanna be-- just having a hard time getting there!

When I'm really hungry i'll eat a couple of baby pickles and drink a glass of water. My hunger disappears almost instantly and I'm good for a couple of hours.

You know...I was doing the pickles thing when I got hungry too...I completely forgot about that! I am all over that! And..When I woke up I would drink a ton of water to get it out of the way. I need to focus on that again too. I remember thinking, wow this is SO DOABLE and now I am in a rut. We got this ladies!!! Starting NOW...not tomorrow...start now

Ok - I'm with ya! I've stayed 100% today and have the munchies -- pickles and water here I come! I also just realized that I put a ton of ice in my shakes so that's GOTTA count for a glass of water or two as well!

When I get extra hungry, I break out the lettuce and cucumbers and put some walden farms on it...It helps me a lot! I've also tried hot tea..and even a nap. Usually afterward I am fine. Good luck to you and hugs!

I found this on a blog and thought it was appropriate in this thread, a great reminder!
Don’t rely on motivation – just do it, anyway. We do many things in life whether or not we feel like it (and whether or not we feel particularly motivated in the moment), like brushing our teeth, taking a shower, putting on our seatbelts, getting to work on time, handing in assignments, getting up with our kids, etc. We don’t tell ourselves, “Maybe I’ll take a shower next week, when I feel like it,” or, “I don’t want to get up with my kids right now, so I’ll sleep in today.” There will probably be many times when you don’t feel like practicing your dieting skills, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do them anyway. Instead of waiting for motivation to strike, think about why it’s worth it to you and just do it, anyway.
