as Im losing weight Im finding it more comfortable to where heels again.
Less weight pressing down on my knees ...
I had really considered giving away all my sex'thsy heels. COuldnt walk inthem without falling or wobblings.... my balance was all off... much better now.
Woot Woot! I'm hoping me losing weight makes me brave enough to wear some of the lingerie DH was sweet enough to buy (he thinks I always look good in it, even if I do'nt)...or maybe need to pick out something new I've never worn heels, I have funky feet, they are small (size 7.5) and wide (7.5W) and I have freakishly high insteps, which makes for great dancing and prancing, not so great for anything that makes my foot look pointed up. But maybe...if I hit goal ...no, WHEN I hit goal, I'll get me some sexay shoesies for my feet sot hey can feel as hot as the rest of me
I bought a nice pair of heels yesterday with my new dress. i could not believe that I could wear them and walk in them. I have not worn heels in years as they would kill my feet. What a great feeling.
My hubby is so perturbed with my shoe buying! I really thought my heel wearing days were over! It is great to now get in some heels! I tried some spikey things but my skills for those are gone! Maybe if I practice..... But, love my tall wedges and new mod heels! So much fun! Glad you mentioned the phenomenon! Made me smile
You girls crack me up. But I'm happy for your NSV's and that you're enjoying your new shoes! I bought a new watch!
Women = shoes. My husband doesn't get it either usmcvet.
I use to love buying shoes, but then as my weight climbed over the years my shoe buying slowed down and heels were out of the question. Now after loosing all of this weight my shoe buying has once again increased and so has the heel height. So much fun!!!
I'm sure you guys talk about this kind of thing on the men's thread all the time!
Nahh. You girls are more fun to hang out with. This thread needs some photos! This is from the spring challenge thread. I bought myself a watch as a reward for 75# lost. I hope I hit it tomorrow. If not then. I will by next week. I don't get to wear the watch until I've lost 75#!

Not the clearest photo but here is a photo of Jack and I Christmas morning. There were matching watches under the tree for us. One I gave him and one from him to me.
I never would have chose the Seiko Orange Monster but he loved it so I was sold.
This is a watch my parents gave me in '90 when I graduated from high school. I wore it in during the Gulf War in '90/'91. I just had it fixed.
Jack wore it to school the day I got it back. Here we are out to breakfast before school.
Can't really see the watch but I'm wearing it in these photos. Those are size medium pants and shirts! Man I'd like to see a large or XL again some day! I'd also like to be that flexible and have all of that hair, ahh to be 19 again.
So the point of the post was to keep this thread active, let you get to know me better and get back to goals and rewards. Here is the Marathon GSAR I sold late last year.
Here is the watch I ordered as a reward to myself for loosing 75#'s. The company ships on Thursday's so I should be good by tomorrow, it will not arrive until next week. I will not wear it until I hit 75#'s lost. It is the same watch with a Marine Corps Eagle Globe and Anchor and other USMC marking.
A watch. That's a good idea. I was trying to get DH to understand the idea of rewards but he did not really get this. He's approaching another big milestone so I will suggest it. I give him a tee every 5 lbs he has lost since 50. But, he's still going so I have to come up with some new ideas.
Well it's motovation and also control. I feel like I've earned it, and have. before it was often, I want it and I'm buying it, or eating it! That did not work so well for me. I never lost any money on my watch buying and selling so I feel pretty good about that. But for a time, last year, it was just kinda like a hole I was trying to fill. It worked for a while then I wanted something else so I would search buy and sell and start over. I wear all the watches I have now except for two and they're very old and have lots of sentimental value. The Glycine especially. But that 24 hour dial takes some brain power at times to figure out.
watchrecon.com is the site I go to when I want to buy a watch. It's saved me lots of money, and cost me too! there are lots of like new watches for sale at great prices.
