Yes. But egg beaters are quite processed. Even better would just be just measuing from a carton of egg whites & then the one whole egg.
Read the label on the egg beaters carefully & you'll see how much beside egg is actually in there & then make your own decision. I try to err on the side of real food as much as possible. If you're fine with the egg beaters, you can have them.

Is this IP compatible..?

Can someone please tell me if this would work as an alternative chocolate protein drink? I bought this at Walmosrt
MMA Elite
Whey Pro Plus
Calories - 130
Calories from fat - 40
Total fat 4.5 grams
Choloestrol 5mg
Sodium - 150 mg
Potassium - 190mg
Total Carbs - 6grams
Dietary fiber - 2grams
Sugar under 1
Protein 20grams

I hope so I am having a difficult time finding something.. I thought walmart has EAS products but they didn't at least where I went..[/QUOTE]

Using whole egg...
I deliberately calculated on the side of using the nutritional data for making the protein = 18 grams, not 24. That was enough for me. 24, is probably OK, but I did this often enough I did NOT want to increase the animal protein on a regular basis. Tried to mirror an IP pack.

Hey fellow Canucks...this was all the way on Page 2, not good!

For those of your who do the alternatives - I stopped in at the Rexall drugs next to my doctor's office on Friday and saw that they had some ProtiDiet bars, 3 or 4 different type, on sale. I think they were $12 something a box.

Just thought I'd pass this along in case you were looking for some.

Jo

Thanks for that, I have been reading through the threads looking for alt products in Canada and think i am going to stop in a Dr. Bertstein clinic today and see what they have.. according to the threads quite a few of their proucts might be a good substitute.

I found ISO Femme bars and shakes at Shoppers in Whitby and the Costco in Oshawa has pure protein bars and Premiere Protein RTD shakes in Chocolate but you have to go to Ajax to also get the Vanilla. I ordered a lot of the products mentioned in here from the low carb grocery and they were at my house the next day. I have been using a mix of IP and alternatives for 4 weeks now and down 20 lbs.

HI all - from BC - Vancouver area
I bought some Preimer protien bars at Costco - they are good (the detour bars have aspertame - i try to avoid that - and stick to sucralose - they only have 6g of sugar per bar 30g protien - i have 1/3-1/2 at a time just for the coffee treat time or if i'm in a rush that day - bought the RTD vanilla premier protein drinks in costco US on wednesday (much cheaper but not as good as the ID ones...) otherwise i pretty much stick to ID foods for now - even though it's been 10weeks (20lbs) and even my spandex is too big LOL

Thanks for the info on the detour bars I didn't notice that they had aspertame.

Hi, if you already bought this, it is ok, I mean don't throw it away, but if you did not buy it yet, you can do better with something that has less fat, the drinks I buy usually are between 1.5 to 2.5g of fat per serving and carbs between 2 and 5, so this one looks on the higher end of fat and carbs.

Hi, I have always bought the detour bars from Costco as my alternative bars and I was "scared" when I read what you wrote that they have aspartame, I got paranoid, run to my box and double checked all the ingredients and luckily I did not find any that have aspartame! Are you sure that they do?! I even looked a little bit on the internet looking on more than one site and everywhere I looked I did not read any aspartame, it was sucralose! Please let me know, I hope they did not change the ingredient recently!

Ooops . . . The magic limit of posts in a thread is 500. Will some kind soul start a new thread?

cass77 09-21-2013 10:37 AM

I just bought a box at Costco last night. They finally started carrying them at my Costco and they do contain sucralose.
