Hi guys! Weigh in #5 today - only down 1 lb (and the days of TOM are over!). I'm more confused than I am upset. I've been 100% OP - even went over my meals for the week with my coach, and she couldn't find any red flags. One thing I have NOT done yet though, is get any kind of activity. I had planned (famous last words) to start walking and just haven't yet. I have no excuses for that. So, that is my goal starting today - get at least 30 min of walking in.

One more thing - in the past, having 'stayed on my diet' for the week and then only losing 1 lb would have thrown me into an all-out pity-party followed by a "what the heck, I'll start again tomorrow" binge fest. I credit this forum for changing my way of thinking. To me that 1 lb loss just makes me more determined to figure out what I need to do to step it up for next week! I KNOW, because of all of you, that this is just part of the ebb and flow of this diet and that I CAN and WILL reach my goal if I just stick to the program. Which leaves me with a much more empowered feeling than my old response would have!

I am glad to hear you are not upset with the one pound loss. If you look at your AVERAGE over the last 5 weeks...your average is 4lbs!!!!....you are in the "average" of what this diet suggest you will lose. It doesn't say you will LOSE 3-5lbs a week, it says an AVERAGE, it also doesn't say how long the average is over. SO with that being said you are doing excellent!...keep up the great job

Hi Everyone,

Day 17 on IP....but only my second day not stepping on the scale! lol Hoping for a good loss at my weigh in on Monday but I hear that the 3rd week can be tricky.

Question for you all....I bought some fancy loose leaf teas last week and have been LOVING them. They are white teas, so very little caffiene. However, my favorite has some dried cherries in it. I mean it MIGHT add up to ONE cherry in a big pitcher of wather. Think that's okay? I've been looking online and even emailed the tea shop to ask but haven't found/heard anything.

This is MY OPINION ONLY......I think it would be OK to have it. It is probably more of a flavoring than the actual fruit, but again ONLY MY OPINION!

Thanks Wuv and Aliceb. @Wuv I saw your story on Facebook, and you are truely and inspiration. Not that everyone else isn't but your personality shines thru your words, and your picture journal is amazing. I saw a post your wrote about "Okra", did you ever find a way to cook them. I have cooked mine with shrimp, if you would like the recipe. I'll try to perfect it and post it soon. ;-)

I mostly eat the pickled okra but would love to see the recipe. There have been lots of people from the south joining lately so I am sure they would like it as well....and thank you

How do you get the bar under some of you posts that tracks your weight loss?

What are you nervous about, Sweetie? Not losing what you think is enough weight? If you are 100% IP the weight will come off! For as many people that have a slow week on week 4 there are 20 that have their best week. And for the 25 that had a weight gain they might have inches lost all over their body. We are all different. It's a terrible mind game, Sweetie, you have to love yourself for who you are not what you weigh. You have to love the whole package because you are who you are no matter if you weigh -1, -2, -5 or you goal weight on Tuesday! You will make it and along the way you will find things out about yourself that you never realized before. We all do and we succeed, you will too!

Happy Friday everyone..

WI is tomorrow morning..

Funny, my dreams have been a bit violent since I started 2 weeks ago. My coach thinks that since I used to eat through any agression maybe it is entering in another way!

PIZZA in the house is challenging....I had to go for a long walk the other night. GOOD LUCK!!

AWESOME words of advice right there. Now if EVERYONE would read it and remember it then they wouldn't stress about what that scale says!!!!

Thanks... My OPINION is the same. :)
I looked up the nutritional info for 1 cherry...since there might be 2 cherries in the whole 4 cups of tea I make....
2 cherries have calories, and <2g of carb

I'm not even eating the cherry, just drinking water soaked with it. :)

EXACTLY...when my coach put me on phase 3 for 2 weeks she said that cherries were the BEST fruit to eat!...so you are in good shape :)

Good morning IP'ers. I have a question. Have any of you ladies suffered from ovarian cysts? I have a large one on my left side. I think it is causing my TOM problems I have been suffering from the last 2 months. They are lasting 2 weeks (not heavy) and only a week in between them. Ugh. Bad cramping with nauseua and lightheaddedness. Feel weak and sick most of the time. Please let me know if you have felt this way too. I am going in for an internal ultrasound on Monday to see what is going on in there.

WI this morning. Will check in after :)

I do know they grow and then go away most of the time. My experience was that I had one that grew and grew they had to remove it surgically. Talk about mood swings when I had it

Have any of you tried the chicken noodle soup? I tried it today for the first time and I swear it tasted just like my late grandmother's matzo ball soup...either that soup is good, or my taste buds are starting to hallucinate!! :dizzy:
