Thanks for your response. It's reassuring to know that someone else OP does show "negative" on the strips. I'm going to try and put it out of my mind and give it a try later to see what's up. I know I shouldn't put much stock in them, but I sometimes need the encouragement of "yes I'm doing it right". Thank-you

Congrats to everyone on their SVs & NSVs! Love reading all the good news!

Doublebaby: I am VERY cold too on IP…I went to the thrift store & bought 3-4 sweaters…always have one at work now too.

Wuv: I adore your NSV story! Interesting that someone you saw daily in your “previous” life didn’t even recognize the new you.

My happy news is that my size 20s are getting loose! (Was in 22 when started IP)...soon it will be time to dig the 18s out of my closet

Happy Tuesday!

I used this as my inspiration. I make it with orange bell peppers because it is just so pretty and I love the sweetness of the pepper.

I used this to learn to how to chop the bok choy. With new vegetables I never know which ends to discard.

I like working with the bok choy because it has become a fast food for me. I do a quick rough chop of the bok choy and a quick chop of the bell pepper and add my usual garlic, salt and pepper.

But, sometimes I add the following: cumin, mint, curry powder, onion powder and some other things I cannot remember now. The cumin gives it a smokiness. The mint gives it a lift. I also have flavored olive oil and spray habanero oil into my wok. I like vegges because you can taste as you go.

I have used baby bok choy and the regular. I like both. I bought some really small baby boy choy at costco and just can't get around the bitterness. Bok Choy cooks quickly, so make sure whatever you make them with is almost done before you add them. They don't wilt as quickly as spinach but they do not take long.

I need to try kolrabi (sp?) next because I have heard so much about it.

Your welcome. Just remember to take it one day at a time. Don't let the scale control you. Go by how you feel, how your clothes fit. And remember, we didn't gain all this weight in a couple of days, so all the weight will not go away in a couple of days. Start having faith in yourself, we do. You can and will do this!!!!!

I love hearing how you guys are all shrinking!!! Digging out smaller sizes and buying new clothes is so exciting. It's so exciting and encouraging to hear how well you are all doing. Keep up the great work!

On another note, I checked myself with a Ketostix today and it didn't change colour. Yesterday they were pink and today nothing. I didn't eat anything with carbs at all (minus the ones in my veggies and the IP packets). I'm trying to wrap my head around this but I can't. I know I shouldn't be checking all the time, I know the program works but right now I'm a little scared. I don't want to be out of ketosis! I don't want to wait 3 days to get back in! I don't know how the heck I wouldn't be there anyways Advice?
You may want to google this. I did read on one of the Ketostick websites that after you have been in ketosis for awhile it will stop turning purple do you may want to google it.

Always carry water around with you and also if no one has mentions MIO water flavorings to you, this would be another great investment to have has a staple
I havent tried the Land O Lakes because I do not eat dairy (never liked it), but I just purchased 2 MIO water flavors and I LOVE them. Thanks for the suggestion!! Can't believe I haven't heard of them before.
