I can't get the files to unzip. And trying to unzip them as excel files. Is that right?

They're not zipped! It should download as an excel file already. As long as you have Excel installed on your computer, you should just be able to double click the file and open it. If you don't have Excel, you can get the Microsoft Office as a free trial.

I have Excel on both my daughter-in-law's old Mac and my new one, and on each -- when I download to my desktop -- both files are zipped. I guess it's back to my old Excel file. Darn it.

Aww. Well I uploaded it as an .xlsx file. Maybe I could upload it in a different file format for you?
If it's zipped, you should just be able to unzip it the way you would unzip a regular file.

Thank you so much for sharing this great spreadsheet. I have a question: I'd like to track my measurement metrically (sp?) but my weight in pounds, do I have to use separate sheets for that?

I do the same thing! I'll make a spreadsheet for that and add it to the first post ^.^

My son says the problem is I'm using a Mac. Where's the smiley that shows someone throwing their hands in the air. Sorry to cause you all this trouble.

EDIT: So I just did this freakish thing that I won't go into and all kinds of bells and whistles went off, but it downloaded, and I got a message saying the material is not supported by Excel for Macs and any info I enter and try to save will probably be lost. But what the hey, I got this far. I'll try it out tomorrow morning.

Hi Linden,

I am on a mac and I am able to download and view it. When you downloaded it, did it show up looking like a folder or a piece of paper?

Well shoot!

It came us just like a regular excel file so I'm thinking it may work. Did you have to go through an intermediary program to download it (I did), or did it just download?

I followed the direct download link, and it took me to a site to download from. I pushed the green button and it downloaded to my desktop. It came as a sheet and not a folder icon for me. Then, I popped into my excel and it said I needed to convert it to a newer version, so I pressed OK. I have Office 2004, so it didn't open up with all the bells and whistles, but definitely opened up as a useable spreadsheet.
If you have trouble opening it, you can throw it in the trash and download it again. I can help you if you still can't get it open
