I have just recently started doing yoga for the stretching and toning on the Wii.....I started at 15 mins and have worked myself up to 45 mins. I do a few yoga poses, then stretches and some balancing games, boxing then finish with a 5 mins fast walk. I have not added a packet because I don't break a sweat or anything, I just take it slow, mostly just for toning. I have had a restricted EVERYDAY for the last 9 months, I eat it for breakfast. I did an experiment on myself, 2 weeks I went without restricted and the loss was no different so I continue to have my restricted daily

My sis just bought the Just Dance 3 game for Wii, so I thought about trying that, too. Thanks for the tips! I didn't notice a change in loss when I went without restricted packets every day, either. They help me stay on track, too! :)

Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for sharing your experience and for the suggestion - I'll have to do that to try out what I like before buying a DVD! :)

If you or someone you know has a NetFlix account, you can try different exercise DVDs before you commit to buying them. My DH was able to get several from Prevention Magazine for me a while back. Just a thought.

Once my hip cooperates with me again I want to get the Zumba and the Just dance ones. They are fun and you can do it at your own pace :)

That's a great idea!! I have been wanting a yoga one to do. I will have to check my Netflix instant to see if I can stream one. Thanks!!

oooohhh I have netflix. I didn't even think to look there for DVDs!

NavyMommy 01-27-2012 08:42 AM

FYI: If you have Netflix streaming there are a TON of exercise DVDs there. I just added several easy 10 minute yoga ones to my queue and one 10 minute dance one just because it looked fun. Hopefully the baby cooperates this morning so I can try them out!

I have wii zumba....love it and because of the wii you don't have to do as much hipping as you would think so you could possibly adjust it to what you can do but move the feet steps....I have the just dance for the xbox kinect and that reads your hands, feet, hips and head...somedays i get it somedays i stumble :)
