Good morning!!!

Alright, today is going to be day 1 of my restart!! I just ordered an entire month's supply of alternatives from Nausha Nutrition for $150, and I have enough EAS shakes and alternative bars to sustain me until then.

I have been wavering on actually restarting as my posts in the "Hard Time Restarting Thread" show), mainly because we're going on vacation for several weeks at the end of the month and we just have lots of things going on. This morning though I got on the scale and it was 191. Way to close to 200 again, and I am never going back there!!

Good luck to everyone today!! I'll be back regularly to check in!

Good luck Navymommy. I am NEVER going back to 220-230. I am much more happier now. Don't feel depressed and I want to go out and do things. The urge of secretly filling my face with burgers at the drive through are gone. Those thoughts do not exist anymore. It was a terrible cycle for me. I am in my prime now and gonna live life!

Some of them are gagalishous for sure. But don't give up! I use the PB in a thai recipe, I was scared but when I tried it mixed in with stuff I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't taste chemical (it satisfied the PB taste I was looking for). Yet when I had it on a spoon out of the jar I wanted to puke. Also use the strawberry and chocolate syrup on the IP ice cream (someone posted the recipe a few days ago - SandyH?) and I'm happy with the taste of it on that, but not right out of the jar.

So don't throw it out yet!

Good morning, everyone!! I have been having lower back pain in the mornings for about a week now. I find this totally ironic that now that I am losing weight I am having back pains which even at my heaviest I never had before! Weird! But it could be my mattress I guess. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion as to which was better while on IP, Tylenol or Advil? I usually take Advil, but just thought I would ask.

Good luck to everyone with WI's today!! Have a great OP day!!

It's funny cause after I lost 30-35 lbs my back and hips were killing me, so I went to the chiropractor and I'm good now, just needed to be realigned. Must have been from my fat holding spine in place, and when the fat disappeared it hurt?!?!?!?!? (that's the explanation I could come up with haha)

Good day all, surprisingly I'm very chipper today and not too sure why. Going to try the butterscotch pudding for the first time today, quite nervous for some reason. Last night had cabbage AGAIN for supper but this time I threw my fried up hamburger just to switch things up, tonight for supper........CABBAGE with grilled pork loin..... so excited for supper and it's not even 9:00am

LOL!! That's kinda what I was thinking!! Maybe I've been walking a certain way carrying all my extra baggage and now that I'm shedding it it's affecting my back...who knows, right?!?! I'll take a little discomfort for a while over other health problems later on any day!! Thanks!

Good morning everyone,

After I enjoyed the waffle I made out of my protein powder with an egg white today, I came to work and googled ''cooking with whey protein'' and discovered that it is not a good idea to cook whey protein, here is the article which I am copying and pasting in here:

Some people/companies say not to cook whey as it will denature(hence the reasons why most people's protein bars are not baked, they are refridgerated/frozen).

From ON's site: ...excessive heat can reduce or destroy delicate peptides (i.e. microfractions) within a protein. For this reason, it is best to limit the exposure of 100% WHEY Protein to high heat

Others: "Let there be no mistake about it, heat damages protein. Especially whey protein. Heat processing ruptures and reforms protein molecules. It's called denaturing, and it makes digestion and absorption difficult."

But many nutrition experts say that it doesn't affect the protein content:

"even if whey is denatured by heat (a good bet), the worst case scenario is that is less water soluble, so it might take a bit longer to get into the small intestine. But of course, if its in something that you cooked, its probably stuck with other stuff anyway, so it would be slow even if it were soluble. Plus, you probably aren't concerned with 'fast nutrition' with the baked item."

By denaturing whey they mean you are destroying its tertiary structure and hence any microfractions in it. These fractions in whey may have some additional health benefits that will be lost if heated too high. The protein content however WILL NOT CHANGE. From a strictly macronutrient standpoint "denatured" whey is the same(from my understanding).

So to conclude: Denatured whey contains the same aount of protein and amminos. What you are loosing in heating is some of the other possible health benefits associated with whey

So, from now on, I think I would stick to drinking my shake and limit having a waffle or a crepe to 1-2 times a week.<

Just wanted to share as I know many of you make cakes, crepes and waffles with your IP food.

I like the thousand island dressing, have it most days with my salad at lunch. I have the mashmallow, put a bit of it on my jello, its ok but tastes very sweet. I love the caramel syrup, have a tsp everyday in my coffee. I use the mayonnaise but you need to dr. it up.

Day 3 of TOM and STILL having cramps, darn it! And sore throat since yesterday, i jinxed myself by telling dh that I just don't get sick on this diet (since 5 out of 6 are sick at home)...

feels like the week is dragging on.... Have a great day everyone!

Congrats o ngetting out of the 200's! I can't wait for that day. There are very few of the WF products I like. I do like the blueberry syrup and the chocolate syrup is okay. The ranch dip is tolerable but most of the dressings have a chemical taste to me.

Last night I added some pumpkin pie spice to my vanilla pudding and had what really tasted like pumpkin pie...my husband even thought it was pie filling!
