Do you think we can make it by the end of the new Valentine's Day Challenge? If we push really hard?

And for all of us, don't space out too much (just waited for the oven to heat up so I could roast a chicken, garlic, and endive and when the light went off I realized I'd only turned on the light; not the oven. Sheeze.) And don't forget lettuce and egg whites. Lightheadedness is not amusing.

On the other hand, PK, "eating for sport" sure is. :D :D

That is the time frame I am hoping for. We should be able to make a good dent in it by then.

I can so relate to the oven mishap. I wrecked my first non silver package meal yesterday. I had chicken and a lovely big green salad. That is it was lovely until I pured WF hot and spicy BBQ sauce on it instead of their Asian salad dressing. I had never realized how hot and spicy it actually is until I took a big unsuspecting mouthful of it!

Let's really focus on this for the next six weeks. I think I would do better with a little doggie to walk but it will be frigid around here very soon anyway.

If you start up again on January 1 I really, really wouldn't wouldn't phase off. Just more roller coastering for you system to absorb, and it can't really be good for you. Hawai'i is where I live when I'm not in Europe and, depending on which island/s you're visiting, it's quite possible to stay on plan if you're REALLY careful and eat a lot of [really good] fish. Ono should be in season. Ono's the Hawai'ian word for ''good'' and is it ever. :) If you're bent on phasing off, instead I'd wait until after the honeymoon, watch your carbs, sugars, and fat, and getting back into ketosis shouldn't be too hard. Good luck with whatever you do and feel free to lurk or post. You're very welcome.

Thank you for responding Linden. We are going to Maui for 4 days and then to Honolulu for 4 days. So hopefully I can find some EAS shakes or some protein bars that will work for phase 1. Thanks for telling me about Ono. I will definitely have to try it!

Today is my first day of restarting Phase 1 with 15 pounds to lose! Good luck to everyone!

I had my weigh in this morning. I didn't get a number, but he said I was down. I'm suspecting it's not much but I don't care. I'm off to a good start this morning with breakfast and making a batch of general's chicken for lunches this week.

Now it's time to see what I can do to get started on my classes and the rest of my "To Do" list.

You should be fine. Just don't eat in places where they serve two scoops of rice and two scoops of macaroni salad with their plate meals -- and there are a lot of them. Makes me shudder.

It was 54F and 11C here at 8:30 this morning, if you can believe it. And rain! No end is sight. Little doggie put his little rump in the middle of the front step and wouldn't budge. Not too enthusiastic myself. :o And, yes, let's do it.

Marion, what is general chicken? And why does what you cook always sound better than what I'm cooking? That's a rhetorical question, I guess.

General Tso chicken
is a rather spicy Chinese style dish. I found the recipe on a new show here called "The Chew". If the link gets removed, you can google the name and the show and get the recipe. I basically followed their recipe but left out the corn starch and didn't put it over rice. I really like Asian style foods. It would be better if I didn't like the rice!

As far as your rhetorical question, I can't resist saying that usually, whatever someone else is making sounds better!

Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of hot food but decided to check out The Chew. Message? "The source has not made this program available in your country." I am SO sick and tired of that message.

It's a pretty entertaining show. I record it and watch it when I just need to chill. It features Clinton Kelly (What not to Wear), Carla Hall (Top Chef), Daphne Oz (Oprah's Dr. Oz's daughter), Michael Simon (Iron Chef) and Mario Batali (Iron Chef). It's pretty much just cooking/entertaining. Nothing political :carrot: and they don't take themselves too seriously.

Yes, the chicken is rather spicy. I'm like things a little spicy.

Okay, end of day 4 and I have no energy. I'm like a limp noodle but I'm down 3 lbs as of this morning. Yikes, the no energy part of this is hard but I had so much sugar in December, of course it's going to be tough transitioning back to burning fat as opposed to carbs.

You can do it! On a fun note, I remember you from before and every time I watched private practice- your husband was Kate Walch's therapist, right?- I wondered how you were doing. Hope you hang in here. It really is worth it and gets easier. I have been following this style of eating for one year this month and it really does become a way of life.

Does anyone know how to do this? I never meant to put a billboard of my face on here, I just can't reduce it or get it removed.

By the way, your picture was beautiful. I am too technologically challenged to post a picture, let alone one as gorgeous as your was!

Thank you Determined -- I finally got it removed, hopefully I'll be taking up less space all around. :) Yes my husband is playing Kate Walsh's therapist on the show. If you've watched the show for a while, I was on the episode called Fear of Flying - my character was allergic to her boyfriend's sperm. I did just manage to do 30 minutes on the treadmill, now it's time for turkey meatballs and roasted asparagus. Glad to see so many of us back on track in 2012.

O.K. - weighed in yesterday - clothes, shoes, and everything - scale said 141 - that's up 7 lbs for the month of December - think I enjoyed the holidays a little too much! Had a great 1st day back, looking forward to the next couple of months and getting back to where I should be. Have a great day everyone!
