You are going to be very pleasantly surprised as to how much this diet "changes" your way of thinking. You will not be doing Phase 1 "forever". Weight loss and then dietary transitions are ahead. The first week headaches are normal...you are in carb detox. Just remember that is a very good thing.

Bella I have been having the same problem with the big C but I am sure that will be cured as soon as I can add fruit back, what they say about an apple a day is true.
I looked up what veggies are helpful for constipation and cabbage is one of the best so I am going to add a lot more of that while I am in stage 1.
The biggest thing I will have to watch will be sugar as that will sneak back in increasing amounts before you even notice.
Thank you for the information about the headaches, it is very encouraging. I also appreciate knowing about the cabbage. How do you prepare yours?

I haven't done much about the cabbage yet, I just read about it yesterday (helping the big C). But I am going to add a lot more to stirfries. FinnSteven has a wonderful recipe for coleslaw made from red cabbage on the "IP in Finland" thread. ( I need to check the real name of that thread). I had bought the ingredients for that anyway so need to get busy and make it.
Also with the big mac in a bowl recipe I have always but it over shredded cabbage instead of lettuce. I eat a big salad at lunch so do get a lot of lettuce in.
