I might try a boot camp day where I have 3 packets and no meat products for the day. I can have 1 egg and 3 egg whites with my veggies for supper. And of course, no restricted items. My coach basically told me that not many people lose on phase 2. I don't necessarily believe that because the calories are still very low!

It is interesting to read about phase 3, I will be there soon.

I was up a little this morning again but I was also greeted with TOM a few days early also.

I know everyone that is close to me that has phased off lost in phase 2 but some had to stay there longer than planned. (What can you really "plan" when it comes to weight loss though?)

Let us know how the bootcamp goes. I just may be going that today because it's one of those run run run days and really no stopping to eat.

Sandy, I am not really losing a lot on P2 either. I lost 1.2# last week, and have been holding steady at the number ever since I weighed in on Tuesday. Sunday/Monday tend to be my "drop" days, but I would be totally happy with another pound. HOWEVER... I am still losing inches. I think that once you start the phasing off process, your body starts to "reconfigure". I started P2 @ 134.8 and am holding steady @ 133.6, but I checked my inches this morning and I lost another 1/2" off of my waist, 1/2" off of my hips and 1/4" off of each thigh. This is all in 1.5 weeks. Plus, people keep commenting that I am getting smaller, but I have roughly been hovering in the 136-134 mark for a few weeks, which really isn't a big poundage difference. Any chance this is also your experience???

Oh, and to add a little bit to that...

I am definitely going to start P3 next week. I am in total diet fatigue, and seriously need to get to maintenance and enjoy some time there. I wanted to hit 130 before going to P3, but I really need a mental change. I am noticing that I am getting a little more "lax" and not staying as close to plan as I should. To me, this means that I am not as mentally in the game anymore and need a break. I am more than estatic with my results, so it is not too much of a hardship to not get to the magical number of 130. Come January, with the whole "starting anew" mentality that comes with the new year, I might jump back on P1 so that I can get to a place where 130 is my maintaining weight. But for now, I need some time away from the "weight loss" phases.

Yes,yes, yes, you sound so much like me! I had so many compliments at work on Thurs. when I wore my skinny jeans and a cute top. I even could fit into my size 8 suits that were upstairs. So in my mind I am wearing my "old" skinny clothes that I bought after losing a hundred pounds on WW. So I do understand what you are saying. Yes to the "getting lax" mentality. You know my protein bar fixation! I am out right now so I figure I might as well lose this week. I am thinking of phase 3 on the 21st. Just a little over a week away. We will see. I kind of like the convenience of "knowing" what to eat right now, phase 3 sounds like more thinking on my part, especially in the morning.

Well, the scale was DOWN this mornng, now to just stay down until weigh in! I did much better the last 2 days with my eating, that really helps and I am getting ALL my vegetables in with a lettuce salad. Just have to keep things moving.

Hopefully things start going down for you Lynsey!

I am hoping my birthday present tomorrow morning is to see the scale go down even further, heehee!!! That would be a pretty good present on my 59th birthday! I even dyed all the gray out of my hair for the occasion.

Happy birthday to you! I'd say it was down! I was up again today. Getting used to the fluctuations by now. :(

sandyh50 11-14-2011 08:59 AM

I told you I was out of the Pure Protein bars! That did the trick on the scale.

What a super, super birthday gift to yourself. Time to start reading the Life After. . . . stickie. ;)

sandyh50 11-14-2011 09:40 AM

Oh, I have been reading that sticky. I also read all of Dr. Tran's book. It's not until you are actually in those phases that it all makes sense!

Hi, Riverrat, a bit of time on my hands here. Waiting for a grandson who will not oblige us and be born. So I used a little Excel file I made to track my food and the most recent USDA Nutrient database (http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/) to track what you had for breakfast. I don't know what kind of bread you had (used basic numbers for commercially-prepared) or what kind of fruit you had (used half blueberries and half raspberries because they're low carb) and here's what I came up with.

565 calories
34.58 g protein
66.24 g carbohydrates (Yikes!)
19.63 g fat
21.08 g sugar
11.7 g fiber
452 g calcium
141 g magnesium
961 g potassium
and 1414 g sodium (about a whole day's worth)

If I could figure out how to attach a file, I'd send it to you. Sure hope this helps.

Thanks for figuring all that out for me!!! You're right that menu needs to be redone! Phase I & II were so easy, you didn't have to worry about all these numbers! I guess they are preparing us for eating on Phase 4! I weigh in tomorrow so I'll be interested to see how I've done. Thanks again for your help! Hope that Grandson is healthy!!!!

Good morning all
Happy B day Sandy, great job.

I think I am doing phase 3 wrong, it started off pretty good and then this weekend I was out of the house mostly so I have screwed it up... not getting my grain in every day as I seem to get over protein/carbs with the dairy and the fruit... and protein, am little confused on exactly how much to have. so if I have 2 eggs and 2 slices of bacon am I having too much protein? and if I only have one tablespoon of peanut butter is that enough protein? I think I am making it harder than it has to be. Also with everything else going on right now, friend moved in, dog trial all weekend, and now fridge is on the frits, freezer REALLY freezing and fridge not keeping anything cool... not a good start to a busy Monday.

Hope you all have a great day.
