I'm not sure if we will have any trick or treaters or not, we live in the country, last year we had none, so will wait and see. I cleaned out cupboards all weekend and tried on clothes. I just sent 6 large garbage bags of clothes that were too big out the door to give away. I am feeling very good about them getting out of here. I have always in the past kept the larger sizes around for just in case I gained back my weight and needed them. Maybe this will be another way to help not gaining back by not having them to fall back into in. I am glad that others will be able to use them. My weight loss is going no where again this week. Last week I lost 3 pounds, but for the previous 5 had lost 4.5 pounds total and always 100% on plan. I am starting phase 2 today to see how that goes. I know inches have come off, and was happy to read the BMI story in another thread, so this has help settle my mind down a bit about the scale. I'm so very not hungry today but I am getting my required stuff in. I'm drinking warm water with a splash of lemon today as well frankly just because I'm really not wanting water today either. It's feeling like a good day for a nap, maybe I'll be a little more gung-ho after some zz's. |

Also veggies, don't get me wrong I love my veggies mostly roasted but that takes time and sometime there isn't any. So I have been having 2 cups of spinach in a salad, not the best thing but... and still I am drinking lots of tea and a couple coffee... why am I drinking coffee when I just don't think I like the taste... I am cold... usually by 2pm I am so cold I have a coffee with Torani syrup and I am warm until I go home.. but really I don't like coffee and it leaves a funny taste in my mouth... but even at home I have to have it... is it my new crutch instead of diet coke? hmmm.. Lately to get all my water and more down I won't add anything to the first 64 oz and then once I hit that I will add something, mio, lime juice just so I can get a few more cups down. |

Speaking of being cold......It's 3:15PM and 73 degrees outside right now (today's high in South Louisiana), I have on a long sleeve shirt, jeans and my sandals (don't like the cold and I'm in denial). My little personal heater has been running most of the day, the AC just kicked on in the office making me turn my heater up and I'm on my second cup of hot tea since lunch. My 24oz. Tervis Tumbler is sitting right next to me filled with ice water and I can't bring myself to drink it. Think I'm going to have to start drinking it room temperature from now on. :(

First school day on phase 2 and I love it. I made chicken stirfry last night and divided it into 3 portions. My veggies might be a little mushy by lunch tomorrow but I don't care. It is nice to have a "real" meal at lunch. Tonight for a snack I will make my zuchinni muffins again. Nice treat. I should have made them yesterday, I had a bump in the road yesterday afternoon. sigh....
I end up drinking water at room temp too in the winter time. I 'm thinking of getting my herbal tea out and drinking more of that. |
After all this talk, I am really looking forward to starting P2 on Wed. Have my last P1 WI on Wednesday morning then onto P2 for my official phase off. Took a little sneak peak at the scale this morning and looks like I am on track for roughly a 2# loss this week which brings me VEEEEERRRRRRYYYYY close to my 90% goal, at which I would be phasing off anyway.
I am really looking forward to a little variety, especially come P3 & P4. I bought some new low carb cookbooks for maintenance, and I am excited to try some new things. Hardly any of the recipes are acceptable for anything but P4, so I will hold off for another 4 weeks to try anything. Maintenance is definitely going to be a trial and error sort of phase for me. I am thinking that I will probably be between P3 and P4 for my everyday life. I now believe that I am extremely carb sensitive and especially sensitive to wheat and wheat gluten. So I am really going to have to play around with what I feel good eating and what I don't. I already know pasta and bread are pretty much out. I get so bloated and sleepy when I eat them. They will certainly be an occasional food for me. I am resisting the temptations of Halloween by being a dark house tonight. I know it stinks for the kids, but I really just didn't want a big bowl full of candy hanging around the house. Both hubby & I are very close to goal and nearing the end of the weight loss phase and neither one of us wanted candy hanging around. I don't know about anyone else, but the closer I get to goal, the harder and harder I find it is to stay on track. So, in order to not sabatoge myself, I opted to not hand out candy this year. Bah Humbug, I know ;) |
I live in NJ and we got socked with snow on Saturday - so we were without power for 12 hours and without internet until this morning. I really missed checking the boards!
All the kids were out trick or treating last night. I bought all my favorite candy - peanut butter cups, kit kats, butterfingers - but had no interest in any of them. The "old" me would have given one to a child and popped one in my mouth - an continue that pattern all night long!! We also had friends over and i made brownies and did a make-your-own brownie sundae night. They looked tempting, but not as tempting as my 42 lb loss! |
I passed up candy and soup and crackers and carrot bars and you name it last night! So porud. I am still up 1.8 from Thursday though so I'm getting a little worried my weigh in will suck this week. I did go out and buy myself a gift card to get a massage but I am not using it until I officially hit 50 pounds.

I have no idea what to expect from WI today in all honesty. Oh well....Still not sure if I'm going to phase 2 this week or just do phase 1 for one more week. Tough decision and I hate thinking so early in the morning hehe. I don't WI until 4 so I have some time but really, who wants to spend their day thinking about their diet? I shall have to flip a coin me thinks. |
Not having a "skinny" day and I don't understand why (not)! :(
