Well, I'm not a success story (yet) but over last year until April of this year I lost 70 pounds. From April to the beginning of October I had gained 20 back
I did realize it was because in April I added exercise to my regiment and that changed everything for the worse. I became excessively hungrier and ate more. My weight would go up because of muscle gain and water retention from the exercise till I just gave up my diet and only exercised. Didn't lose a pound from doing that.
I restarted my diet in the beginning of October and it is going pretty well. I am motivated and more knowledgeable of what I can and can't do with it and the weight is coming off again.
I have learned that dieting and exercise have to be separate. For instance, I look at my calories burned through exercise and chart them but I do not turn around and eat that amount. I stick to my diet plan regardless of calories burned and I don't add more food because that was the biggest mistake I ever made. I am much happy and far more confident now in my weight loss goals.
You know, sometimes we do stop and start again but it is more important that we just start again and not berate ourselves for having stopped. Take what you've learned from your previous tries and apply them again. Best wishes.
