Happy Friday everyone. I am just about to start phase two. I was reading Dr. Tran's site and it said in phase 2 we can start incorporating fat free plain yogurt and/or 2% cottage cheese. I just wanted to see if this was actually the case.

I just started P2 and that is not the protocol my coach told me. Basically I was told it is the same as P1 except you replace your lunch packet with your own protein.

I have another question regarding P2. Anyone notice any weight gain on P2? Since starting P2 (3) days ago, the scale has gone up 1.6 pounds. I asked my coach about it and she said that it is totally normal and that it is just water weight and not real fat or weight. I do notice that my rings are tighter the last couple of days.
Can anyone share their experience with P2?
I am doing a mini phase off (1 week at P2, 1 week at P3) in preparation for vacation. When I get back, I am jumping back on P1 to get to goal.

Hi Jenny I have only been on p2 for 3 weeks now and I have lost every week. I think I read somewhere that a few do gain in phase 2. but don't remember how much. As you are really suppose to be only on phase 2 for a couple of weeks, so we will see if I get to my goal in phase 2.

Thanks 2Ride. I am hoping it is only temporary, but my coach did say that I might not "lose" it until I am back on phase 1. Maybe someone who had experience with it will chime in. I believe that Princess Jessica mentioned that she had a stall with P2, but I haven't seen her around lately.
I continued to lose in phase 2 also, but have read on the forums of people having stalls. I can't understand why you would gain though, not if the only diff is the added protein at lunch. What are you having?
I guess the important thing to remember is that it takes 3000 calories to gain a pound, so you must be retaining water.

I agree with Jenny, my protocol sheet for phase 2 had no yogurt or cottage cheese on it. Dr. T's book is great for learning the prinicpals behind the IP Protocol - but I remember reading that phase 1 lasted 2 weeks (I think i was in my 8th week by then!) You did the right thing asking on this forum.
Also, may I take this opportunity to congratulate you on the fantastic weight loss...way to go girl! You must feel fantastic!
I've been on phase 2 for 1 week now and I'm still losing weight. I exercise everyday, so I'm still eating three IP packets per day. Despite all that food, I still feel hungry at times. I will be changing my goal weight to 125lbs. Can I stay on P2 until I reach my goal of 125lbs? Or, does P2 only last for a certain amount of time? My coach isn't very helpful.

thank you. I do feel great. I haven't had the body I am now in since I was 17/18. It's amazing.
I am about to go on Phase 2 and also have a question. My coach said you could continue to have restricted packets on Phase 2, but you must only have them for breakfast. Has anyone else heard this?

I sure have not and I continue to have a restricted packet in the evening if I want on Ph2 days.

I am completely baffled as to what is going on but it is definitely bumming me out. I thought for sure I would lose on P2 since I have had some P2 days during P1 and had good losses.
My coach definitely thinks it is water retention, and I feel like it probably is too, but I thought for sure it would go away by now.
I usually have my protein with lunch and packet with dinner and the only thing I changed was having another protein at dinner instead of a packet. I have been exercising since the beginning and I usually eat the same packets week after week. The timing of my eating hasn't even changed.
I am trying really hard to stay positive about it, but it is hard. I am phasing off for vacation, so I feel like I am losing 3 weeks now instead of 1.
I am getting ready to start phase 2 soon so I am glad this thread was created. So, from what I am reading, we are only going to stay on Phase 2 for about 2 weeks? Is that for everyone?
