I have a size in mind that I'd love to be and that's a 6. I think I might be happy with an 8 but it's so close to double digits I'd just like to make it 6 to be safe. Is this a pipe dream? Can you tell me if you wear either of these sizes how tall you are and what your weight is? I was talking with a coworker today and she asked my size. Same one who asked my weight and I told her I don't share that. I did say well, I'm happily in all 12s now and have sold anything above that. She, who always competes, said, "Uh, I'm still in 14s!" Then she said she will be happy if she can hit a 9/10 and asked if that's when I'll stop. I said, "no, I ultimately want to be a 6." And she went on to tell me I'm crazy there will be nothing left of me and whatever.........
I really want that size. I have a goal weight in my head but if I like how I look in a 6 and I'm not to that weight yet, I may just maintain where I am. That's what people see anyway right? But, on the other hand, I may not get to that size and be fine where I am at the weight I've picked.
I just wanna see how close I'll come judging by others. Thanks!
Oh, and I realize no jean/pant/short is universal but you know what I mean. Mainly 6s.
I was thinking a 6 too or maby a 4 since I am so short. Will have to see what I feel better at I guess. Have you been to www.mybodygallery.com ? It is awsome! You can see how "real" women look at that size. You can pick ones with your shape and height. Maby it is just weight but I know there is a size part somewhere on there too.
Height: 5'-2" - 41 years old - 2015 Reboot: 165.4/136.0/135
I am also thinking either 6 or 4. Right now I am in 8 jeans, dresses, skirts and between an 8 & 10 in dress pants. I have a typical hour glass figure, so it is very difficult for me to find pants that fit my body. I usually have to go bigger because of my hips and then the waist is way too big. The best cut for my body that I have found is the "Curvy" cut from Ann Taylor (and AT Loft).
I am 5'5. I wore a size 6 when I got married and weighed around 150. I think everyone is different. I've always been muscular. I've always weighed more than my friends who wore the same sizes and were similar in height. My first year of college, I had Mono and lost a lot of weight. I was wearing size 0 - 2's. I looked sick. My clavicles stuck out terribly and I thought I looked skeletal. I think it just depends on your body.

See, I think that's why she was mad. I'm sure she weighs less than me but she's all hips and butt. I carry my weight in my front.
Wow, that's a tough call. Not only do sizes run differently by brand, but also by style (slim fit or roomy). Anyway, I am mostly a size 8 right now in a "standard" fit -- not slim, not loose. Sometimes I am a 10 if it is a smaller/narrower cut or more inexpensive product. I have some 10s from American Eagle that are comfortably big (I could go smaller but the 10s are not so gigantic that I look ridiculous in them). I could wear a 6 in a more expensive brand since they are often cut bigger and made of better, less clingy fabric!
I am 5'7 (or maybe a teeny bit below that but I round up!) and weigh between 143 - 146 right now.
Also keep in mind how much of you will be muscle. I looked at the website posted above and saw a HUGE difference in people of the same height at different weights. I am relatively muscular & active, but still have ample padding around love handles, thighs, tush . . .
Just thought I would chime in here. I am 5' 0" and currently 158 lbs and fitting into a (though slightly snug) size 8. I have a very extreme hourglass figure with a very small waist and larger breasts, hips and butt. Due to the fact that I am so short, I have a feeling I will be around a size 4 by the time I hit 120 lbs. You can certainly get to a size 6. Don't let her discourage you!

This goes to show it is different for different people regardless of weight and height.
I am 5'1" and 152 pounds and wear a size 14.
i'm 5'7 and my weight is between 143-146. i wear a size 6 or 4 depending on brand. i only buy skinny jeans, so that is the cut of the 6 or 4 that i wear. i started in a tight 16.

I went into maintenance when I got to my size 8. I am 5'5 and was 165 pounds size 29 or 30 in my Lucky jeans depending on the cuts.
I am hoping to get to a size 4/6 and finish out long term at 130 to 135
