Port - it is fast, but not miraculous. Our bodies are still very complex units. That 1 pound could be an extra liter of water you haven't peed out yet. You have been on/off the diet and your body is still figuring out what it is doing. Be patient, give it time. I cannot tell you when that 20th pound will be gone for good, but I can guarantee you that if you don't continue to diet and change your eating habits for the better that it will never come off. So, persevere and I am sure you will see results!

Also, that is up one pound from yesterday . . . not that you have been carrying that one pound for a week . . . so it isn't even a "gain" yet.

(coming from another frustrated/discouraged dieter who has gained 3 pounds in the last week despite the fact that the "numbers" don't add up).

Welcome Michelle! I, too, am losing the baby weight! I did just fine on my own with the first two, but this time it has been a greater struggle. I was just doing the calorie deficit thing but it was going toooooo slowly and I wasn't being diligent enough to really get results. I decided that, once I weaned, I would get on IP for the last 10-15 pounds. Right before weaning, I went on a month-long road trip (aka eating out 3x / day for 4 weeks) and although I made pretty good choices I also couldn't exercise as much so I gained about 5 pounds. Thus, when I started IP, I had 20 pounds to go. I am still going to call it "baby weight" even though I have technically lost all that, and then gained a few back lol!

Yes I haven't gained like either of you, and after today I guess we will see. But I only lost 1 last week and it doesn't seem like I am going to lose much at all this week, and that is with 6 weeks of no cheating at all, not a bite, not a thing.

I also have walked 22 miles in the past week and rode another 20 miles.

But I am just trying not to get frustrated because it doesn't do any good.
Am I happy with the 23 pounds so far... yeah but I have a lot left to go.

Just hang in there, and let yourselves get over this hump.
I am right here with you.

See I'm not familiar enough with you all to make comments. I agree with COLIEP. I think it took me darn near 3 flippin weeks before I could wrap my head around this entire program. I was actually feeling angry at first because I didn't want to have to do any program. Ok....I'm sorry I didn't mean to make this about me.

Keep at it!!!!! Embrace your endless possibilities with this program!:carrot:

Wayward - I think 23 pounds in 6 weeks is still fabulous -- it's almost 4 pounds per week!! That is great progress, even though I absolutely know how it feels when it slows/stalls. I bet with all your exercise, you will definitely see progress in inches lost, too!!

We will just keep on keepin' on because, no matter what, the pounds aren't going to lose themselves!

I am off to the gym then date night!

Y'all and those SCALES!!!!!!.....y'all are putting MORE STRESS in y'all lives than NEED to be!!!!....If I could reach though this screen and get each and every one of y'all scales I would do it! I lost 1.5 lbs its a loss, it takes time.

Wayward maybe you are doing too much riding the bike or walking maybe you need to slow it down a little.

I don't do any exercise except go to the pool for an hour every other day and tread water that is it.

Colip you don't have much to lose that is probably why yours has slowed down so much.

Port you have WAY too much stress in your life. You need something else to free your mind from NOT losing. Are your clothes fitting better, do you feel better?

Maybe I am doing too much for my body too fast, it could be. I will have to keep an eye on it the next week or 2.
Nice thing is one of the guys I walk with is the only guy I know that was bigger than me, of course he is like 6'3" but found out this past week the heaviest he ever was is 312... I was like wtf, I used to be bigger than you, wow I didn't know I was that fat lol.

Good thing is, he has been walking since April and watching what he eats and he is stuck at 280, so even though I used to weigh 322 I have passed him, now to just stay ahead of him :)

That is awesome, Remember me saying that My son and I were going to have a competition, well he called me yesterday after playing 5 hours of racquetball (he left for college sunday) and said mom I weigh 324 I said ok I WI tomorrow so I will let you know. SOOOO this morning when I WI I weighed 324 so we are EXACTLY the same so the heat is on.....lol.....of course he will lose more and quickly because he is only 19 and is in the gym for 5 hours at a time sometimes. That is ok though I have given him a little competition....mom can't weigh more than him....HAHAHA

Yep... I am back, and have been being GOOD even though I have not been able to check in........WUV2 B keeps me on track via text!!! Survived going back to school and another away softball tourney :) I have AWESOME classes this semester, about 90 kids, give or take a few in my 3 classes. Brand new High School, so we are all getting acclimated, lighting took out the bells the first day, so we were to "watch our clocks and use our judgement": to dismiss classes, you can imagine, some teachers were kicking htem out 5-10 minutes early!!!!! My daughter also began High School and made the JV (not freshman ---yeah!!!!) volleyball team, and has been dresscoded once......breath..............

Will someone tell me how to put my ticker on this thing ????????????? I need some good meal ideas, burgers tonight, these veggies still wearin' me out!!!!!!:devil:

I am right there with you, no cheats whats so ever. Some people are just very lucky to lose faster.

I totally agree with WUV. The scale has become the enemy for some of us. Our weight naturally fluctuates so the official weigh-in should be the only one to be concerned about. We are striving in be in balance in all things. The scale is the reward but seriously we could do this plan with no scale at all. Just look at the changes in our bodies and be content with that. The number is just a number. Looking good? Rejoice in that and go on!

You need to paste the URL version not the link version.

Should be this:

Ha ha ha, I finally jump on tonight and no one has posted anything since I left work.
WI 6 down, must have measured in different spots this week not much loss.
Lost 4 more pounds this week though... good enough for week 6 for me.
Went walking with the boys and did another 5 miles tonight.
I also finally got my new computer for my bike, so hopefully do some riding tomorrow after work, really sore tonight so you never know.

Goooood Early early morning.. Just got off of work at 12:45 midnight..Im supposed to be off early at 10:30pm..but so far this week ive put in 3 solid late nights at work..We are starting up a coffee shop and im actually doing managerial work and helping the supervisor get organized..blah blah blah..so..its lots of work and so little hours to do it in..with a boss that drives me bananas...RAWR!

Anywho..got in tonight..man oh man...im not feeling good..I dont know if its just that im not drinking enough of what..but im suffering from mild nausea during the day and the evenings totally random and totally random days too..i added some extra salt to my diet tonight cause i felt so horrible..I dont even remember what litre of water im on..

Im so freaking exhausted!!! Oh oh oh!! at work tonight i brought in my vanilla pudding packet and i made it as a concentrated liquid and used it as cream in my iced coffee i made at work with a squirt of sugar free syrup..i was wondering what everyone was raving about in regards to turning the pudding packet into a drink...but it really does work as a good sub for milk in iced coffee..however...drinking coffee in general..is not helping me at all..i do it only once a day..one shot only..but still..im not actually a coffee drinker..maybe next time i should try it..just by making a london fog perhaps?? drink tea instead...

Anywho..WAYWARD!! YAY!!!! GOOD JOB ON THE WEIGHT LOSS THIS WEEK MY FRIEND OL BUDDY OL WEIGHT LOSS PAL!!!!

As for myself..i learned that hot dogs are a no no on this diet...apparently though they dont have carbs..they have too much fat in them..(that might have been the factor for me not losing anything these past few days)...So i got rid of the hot dogs...

Anywho..im going to bed..im exhausted and dont feel well..

Hooray for 27 pounds gone!!! My weigh-in is in the morning. I weigh in after I get off work. I do 12 hour night shifts. I am sure it would be less if I came in after sleep but since I always do it this way at least it is consistent. If I could at least stay the same it would be okay since I did not follow protocol over the weekend.

I ws thinking about why people do not always comment on weight loss. I think part of it is because if they say "Did you lose weight?" and you are not dieting then the thought is there "Should I be dieting?" "Are they saying I am fat?" Believe me we know what we look like. I am glad that not too many comment on my weight loss. I am at a point in my life where I do not want to call attention to me. I want my life to be about others. I am glad for this forum-it gives me enough at this time. The few I have told about this comment and I know what is happening. That said I did wear a new dress for the wedding last weekend. I ordered it on-line in the spring to wear to my daughters' college graduations (2 graduated) but it did not fit. I never got around to sending it back. Now it fits! How fun for me!

It's week 12 for me and I am only down 21 pounds. Not too happy about the progress. But I will keep going.

WatKat.... are you doing strictly IP or are you doing a modified program?
That does seem pretty low overall for 12 weeks.
Have you been dropping a little every week or have you stalled quite a few weeks?
Any info you can contribute, maybe someone can come up with a reason.
Let us know.

Back is sore today, little one wouldn't sleep last night so the wife took him to bed with her and I just left him asleep and slept in my chair since he was sleeping so good in my spot.
