    I had a loooong day. Very tired. I brought IP stuff with me, but it didn't work out as planned. I did ok until the kids fell asleep so we had no lunch while I drove home. I got feeling so funky/foggy that I grabbed a handful of mini crackers and fruit thingies, which had about 9 carbs wtih some sugars. Obviously this wasn't reallly filling, so I was famished when i walked in the door and had a serving of mixed nuts while I prepped my dinner. Then I ate all my veggies (4 cups) and my IP omelet. Guess it could've been worse, but I really wasn't prepared for the no lunch, eat crap plan!!

    Anyway, I came home and found I was still in ketosis. This is one of the first times I have registered and it was after not eating OP. Interesting!

    I still feel fatigued and foggy. Not sure if its the diet or just the sheer exhaustion after a long night and day! Planning to sleep early!

    I really love this site! So informative! I have a question and need some reassurance. I have been feeling awful the last several days b/c I think my BS was going low. My coach doesn't allow the restricted food until the 3 rd weigh in and I just had my second weigh in today and lost another 3 pounds. That's 8 pounds in 2 weeks which I feel is good. But she gave me restricteds 1 week early b/c of how awful I've been feeling. I just ate the bag of southwest soy puffs and all I can say is YUMMMM!! but I'm scared to death to be eating these they seem too good to be true. I admit it, I'm scared of the restricted food. Someone please tell me they're ok and my weight loss is not going to stop b/c of them. She told me I could have 1 a day in addition to my other 3 proteins a day and I can eat it anytime of day I want. Is this all accurate?

  • I was terrified of restricteds and got mine a week early as well! Since I started them so early I have no comparison but I average 2 lbs / week overall. I was told 3 a day including my restricted and a 4th non resrticted if I worked out or felt I really needed it.

    I think I am struggling with blood sugar (i.e. my super fog and inability to think a few hours after eating) and have found myself going off protocol fairly regularly so I am not your best advice-giver but I have read a lot and many many people lose even with restricteds from day 1! Even if it slowed it a teeny bit, you will be more likely to succeed if you don't feel like poo!

  • I started my 3 rd wk of IP on tues. Since then I have not even lost a pound! Is this normal? The first week it was 7 lbs, 2nd wk it was 3 lbs, and now it has been nothing. I have not been eating as much veggies as I was suppose to with the crazy work schedule this wk. Do you think that not eating as much veggies as I am suppose to is slowing down the weight loss? Thanks for any advice!
  • oh thanks coliep, i'll check for those, my life is so busy with 4 kids on the run that i know that some days won't be by the book all day , but i'll still make better choice than chocolate bar or fried chicken lol but but maybe with that it would help me to stay on track
  • Sharen - that is pretty much the conclusion I have come to. I beat myself up a bit when I wasn't OP like I should be but, life happens and, for me, this diet is helpful for lots of reasons and it aids in making quick, good choices for me! The sticks are controversial in terms of accuracy and I have only registered once clearly (today) and the rest of the time I am like "is that peach? am I in ketosis?" so just know that it may not be totally accurate. You can do a search for the opinions/drawbacks!

    I don't think it is unusual not to lose weight in 2 days on your third week. That's what you are talking about, right? 2 days (wed, thurs)? A lot can happen in a week. Up your water, eat your veggies.. I think it can make a difference in terms of proper elimination and nutrition -- you need sufficient calories, oils, salts etc. so your body doesn't rebel but I don't know if 1-2 imperfect days will really impact progress. Do your best to get them in, be patient. You will see something by your WI day!

    Let's hope I do. It's tomorrow. I haven't seen scale movement in the right direction in a week myself ...
  • Hey everyone...

    Its been another not on plan day..i decided to give my body a couple day break to get better..Think im going to have to see a doctor cause i think i have a sinus infection!!! I feel horrible..still having pounding headaches..On the good news.. i got my shipment in..Got some bars and some choco covered soy balls and got my syntrax nectar fuzzy navel shake!!! oh my lawd!! it tastes like orange juice!!! soooo good..and i got my 2 boxes of chicken noodle soup and a couple of sampler things..though they sent me the wrong salt and vinegar chip thingys..and so i had to throw them out cause they were way to high in carb and fat and calories to be allowed..I also got rid of the tomato basil soup BARF!! I cant eat tomato basil soup that looks like pepto bismol..and got rid of the salt and vinegar soy puffs (BARF)...

    But im glad to finally have bars and choco soy puffs and whey shake for the evening..and soup!! finally! i love that soup more than i love my stupid pudding..someone has to help me find a way to deal with the chocolate pudding..its killing me..its like totally..barf...cause im so sick of it! Im glad to have some variation in my diet now..finally!

    I hear ya on your frustration wayward..cant be easy not having what you need.. i thought i was going to go batty if i didnt get my order soon! but luckily it came just in time to start over tommorow..

    Starting tommorow im going to go back to 100% op..cause at least now i can eat..its just the sinus headaches that are killing me..and we have like.. t-minus 1 month to get to our goal!!!

    If you ate the southerwestern cheese curls those are restricted. They will not harm you by havinng restricted items. I have been on restricted items since day one. Infact I miss understood my coach and for like the first 3-4 weeks I was eating 2 restricted a day instead of the one and it did not effect my loss. I do have a rather large amount of weight to lose so that might play into effect as well. I have 2 non restricted and 1 restricted a day, everyday.

    You must eat all of your veggies as much as possible with your lunch and dinner. Pack you some "finger" veggies like cukes or pickles so they are quick and easy to eat. Not eating all of your veggies nor drinking all of your water could easily slow your weight loss down. You will have some weeks that you do not lose anything BUT remember your body is changing in many different ways what doesn't show this week will show up next! Just stay 100% OP and it will work!
  • Weigh-in done.......ok now I can complain about frustration lol... totally OP everyday, lost 1 pound this week, that's right 1.....but.............I did lose 6 more total inches this week.
    My coach got my measurements and she know I was going to have a bad weight week just because I lost so much.
    Lost another 2.5 inches off my waist alone and another 2 of my hips so I cannot complain too much.
    Ended up getting some EAS shakes since they didn't have my foods. Sad thing is they are cheaper by far lol, but I will go pick up my cappuccino when it comes in, of course I am getting like 4 boxes so I always have backup lol.

    Wife lost 6 pounds over the last 2 weeks since she didn't weigh in last week.
    Just got done doing housework and crap, time to make dinner.
    Heather get better....
    Stay strong all of you, if I can so can you.

    Oh and on restricted items, I have had them since day 1, but they count as your third one of the day you don't get 4.
  • Good thing you didn't say that word ONLY lost a pound I was going to give you a few words!!! and you used the BUT you lost 6 inches that is awesome. Great job by both you and the wife!!...Keep it up!
  • Yay! Congrats wayward! I would rather weigh like..200 something pounds and lose all the inches in the world than lose no inches and go down all the pounds..When it comes down to it.. i want to be down inches..not pounds.. Cause you can lose pounds and still not fit into your clothes..see what i mean??So kudos to you..

    Well i survived a night at work..bleh..was so tired and was forced to drink 3 different types of espresso shots along with 1 mocha and 1 cappachino.. i told my boss that i was only going to do this the once since i was offplan cause ive been sick and that after this..no more drinking any of it..cause i hate drinking coffee in general and my stomach hates all the sugar and all the dairy..So she agreed..(she is trying to train me to work in the coffee shop next door so i have to know all the drinks so i can explain them to the customers) Im thankful that i dont have cravings for coffee and dairy based drinks..there comforting but dont taste good...so im not challenged in that at all...ive gone several days without having to touch them..its only tonite that i was required to try each drink on the menu in order to know what it tastes like and blah blah blah..Needless to say.. i still have a headache..im still exhuasted...and im at least greatful that i can start ON Plan again!! Im hoping for a recovery quick here cause i know i need to get my rear in gear if i want to go down at least another 10 by the end of september..

    With that being said...goodnight..see you..well..when i wake up enough to write again.
  • Thank you ladies... ok it's official the EAS shakes are not as good as IP shakes lol, they aren't too bad. Of course I had to get the fudge ones which I didn't want but they were out of the regular chocolate.

    I did get my first 2 comments in the last 12 hours from others. One my Schwans driver (home food delivery of meats and frozen foods for people who don't know.) he said I was looking great and that he could really tell.
    Of course he is missing a lot of my business, we used to order a lot of food for my deep fryer from him

    And then one of the admin assistants was in the elevator with me this morning and she asked how I was doing and if I was losing weight.
    So they do start noticing, just had to have my worst week weight loss wise, I think my belly is down like 10 inches now or something like that and my hips are dang close. I really need to get a copy of that from my coach.

    Really tired today, I woke up like 5 times last night and it wasn't my little guy, he slept from like 8 until the wife woke him up this morning, yay for sleeping through the night.
    He was in such a good mood this morning, nothing brightens your day, then walking into your son's room and having him just put on the biggest smile on his face when he sees you walk in.

  • Its a great feeling when people start noticing you losing weight and the compliments start rolling in. That is great! Even though you had a as you say worst WI ever something changed on your body for them to start seeing it!!

    I didn't sleep well myself last night, don't know what is going on with me. I couldn't get comfortable. I remember the days when I would walk into the boys rooms and see them smiling at you in the morning, its a great way to start off the day. Now all I get is mom give me 5 more mins as they pull the covers over their heads....hahaha
