I'm really tired of chicken and prefer pork and beef along with shrimp and fish. I'm hoping to be able to eat a good mix on IP to keep it interesting. So far on Day 5 and I haven't missed the cheese yet.

I just finished Dr. Tran's book as well and noticed there are some marked differences between his recommendations and what is on our sheets. In my experience the weeks where I eat more red meat I lose less. An all chicken/ tuna week is almost guaranteed to be a good loss. But I do enjoy variety and therefore I try to put in one red meat per week and one 'heavy' fish such as salmon. If you are trying to break a stall I would definitely be inclined to sticking to white fish/ skinless white chicken and only green vegetables for the week. In the overall scheme of things though I think it's best to mix it up for the sake of both mind and body. Your body needs the jolt that comes from processing different foods so that it doesn't have the chance to adapt- and your mind needs variety because otherwise it will become bored and that is a killer for a diet... Just my thoughts...

I rotate between fish, chicken, ground turkey and eye of round beef. Fish and chicken are my staples but the stir fried eye of round is a nice change of pace once a week even though I have never been a big beef eater. I have done this from week one and had no issues with weight loss.

Dad caught red fish yesterday...YUCK! talk about strong fish AND it is scallop season, we go out and get our own, and I don;t eat them!!!
I can so relate to that, I grew up in Nova Scotia and all of the cold water fish seems so strong. I can only eat very mild white fish. And scallops are so rich I can't handle them either.

Also here is a trick I learned a while ago and I got to the point where I think I'm eating a lot of ground beef and I'm not. If you mix ground chicken or ground turkey breast with ground beef it takes on the flavour of the ground beef. I go to Costco and buy the big pkgs of ground turkey breast and a big pkg of extra lean ground beef. I mix them together and freeze them in meal size lots. Hubby has never realized he is not eating ground beef only, it does taste like the ground beef. I actually use about one third ground beef to two thirds ground turkey breast as the turkey comes in bigger packages.

I just made a pork roast in the crock pot yesterday, simmered it on low all day w/equal parts WF Maple Syrup, WF BBQ and soy sauce...added spices. It was delish and my husband liked it too.

The next day you can eat leftovers on your salad.

I also put a bit of water in crock pot too.
