Hello! I am starting week 4 and had 0 weight loss this week, but I did lose 2 inches off of my waist. Total of 8 pounds lost so far. I am so tired of eating lettuce for both meals. Do I have to eat my meal AND the lettuce too? I feel like that is too much for me. I stop eating because I feel full but my coach is telling me I need to eat this lettuce at lunch and dinner. Any advice would be really appreciated. 8 down 48 to go!

Lettuce is unlimited, but also optional. You can have as much as you want, or none at all

Does lettuce count as part of the 4 cups of vegetables or is it in addition to the veggies? 4 cups (lunch + dinner)= 32 ounces, correct? I use a scale and am eating 2 lbs of veggies each day. Is that correct?

No. That is not correct. 1 c does not = 8 oz mass (weight) on a scale.
Measure your veggies in measuring cups. Raw.
Lettuce is NOT part of the 4 c
Do you have a coach?

Omg! No wonder I am feeling so bloated! (Blushing and feeling a bit stupid)
I do have a coach, but just assumed I was measuring correctly. I have been eating waaaaaay more veggies than I needed.
So glad I asked. This will be so much easier now

Do you think this could have slowed my weight loss down? Do you know if that would affect keys is at all? Btw, I will be talking with my coach about this too!
Thanks again for the feedback.

Just remember...lettuce is fiber... and helps keep things moving through your system. I find if we are on the go too much and I skimp on the salads, or are eating out find the salad was on the chintzy side... there is more irregularity to deal with.....and That slows weight loss for me. Sounds crazy because I do feel "fuller " after meals with lettuce salads!

More veggies than protocol is excess.
Just move forward from here. Worrying about the past won't fix it.
You've lost 14 lbs so you are doing very well.
I'm so sorry your coach did not explain well enough. That is their job & it is what you pay the IP food premium to them for. Everything should have been crystal clear.

This is exactly what my coach told me
1c of veggies = 8 oz on scale.
I discussed it with her twice.

Also I was told that only Iceberg lettuce is unlimited

That is a liquid cup. 8 oz of spinach is WAY more than a cup... Just imagine that!

Someone on here (Scorbet?) posted a couple months ago a website that gave the conversions for many different veggies between cups and ounces... Can't seem to find it though.

1 c liquid = 8 oz liquid.
This does not hold true for mass. 1 c. veggies does not equal 8 oz weighed veggies.

I can't remember who posted the link for weighing 1 c veggies but it varies by vegetable.

Using your measuring cups works!
