Even though someday I would love to get to about 145....I am shooting for 164.8 right now and then I am going to take some time to get used to the new me and way of life. I am very focused right now on making these changes permanent and lifelong.

On a side note: I decided to start jogging today ( I have not jogged a day in my life).....I went a complete mile non-stop...I used to make it 2 houses down and be completely out of breath.

Wow...80 pounds weighs you down

Congrats!! Jogging has always been a dream of mine. So a big goal to achieve but I still have a long way to go, but with time I'll be there.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend so far!

In between shopping for things we need, I managed to squeeze in a little shopping for myself (because I don't have much that actually fits well).

I got 4 nice short-sleeved blouses for work, each in different colour (purple, white, red and orange). They have nice clean lines and show off the weight loss nicely! :) They were only $7.99 each!

Then, I found a new swimsuit liquidation outlet that wasn't there before. I decided to check it out but I really didn't expect much to come of it. Well, I tried on a ton and I actually found 5 swimsuits that I really liked and with the help of a saleswoman, I narrowed it down to 3. My total expense was $64 after taxes (less than the cost of 1 swimsuit in most places). Two are from Bianca Nygard and the other is Stella Sport and they are all size 10!!! I am all set for summer! (there's nothing I hate more than having to change back into a wet bathing suit after going to the bathroom or something because you don't have enough of them to actually change and let it dry properly... ewww!). As a NSV, after the first bathing suit I tried, the saleslady replied: "Oooh! That is nice on you. It is very sexy!" :o Sexy?!?! Me?!?! Really?!?! :D

When I got home, I modeled them all for DH and the kids and DH agrees with the saleslady! ;)

I think I am turning into a different person!

I figure that the two swimsuits that cost $10 each are not such a bad investment because I won't mind having to replace them if I go down another size (one is jungle print-type...khaki with gold and animal prints and stuff, the other is patterned, mostly blue with a bit of navy and gold and has 3 buttons widely spaced down the front of the suit and a space where skin shows through between the buttons). As for the one that cost me $35 (mostly black with a bit of turquoise trim on the top part), I hope I will get some good use out of it but it still isn't so bad.

Never before has bathing suit shopping been fun! I can see how this can be dangerous...

WWWWAAAAYYYY TTTTOOOO GOOOO SSSEEEXXXYYY Susie!! :carrot:

You should be proud of yourself. Size 10 in a swim suit. AWESOME!! Congrats!!

WOW, looking good. Love the dress!!:)

I usually lurk, but had to post today because of all the great losses I've read about this weekend. Yay everyone for being so amazing!

Today I finally got below 210 (205.2 lbs with a 5.2 lb loss this week.. and it's the pre-TOM week to boot! Yay!) The first three days were so hard I wasn't sure if I could do this, but I'm starting week 9 and even though I've had a couple weeks where I only lost 1 pound, this is the most I've ever been able to lose this quickly. I tried WW and struggled to lose 20 pounds in 4 months! I am always worried about cheating (which has been a past habit) but the treats are so good, I don't feel deprived enough to want to cheat! And, there is also the 37 inches that are gone! More reason to stay on track!!

A couple things I have found though...

1 - I cannot drink coffee at all. It just makes me hungrier for some reason.
2 - I have to stick to a schedule of times I eat or I end up crazy hungry.
3 - I use 4 packets per day (started in week 5) and since starting that have lost more weight each week without crazy hunger. Three left me starving all the time no matter how much lettuce I ate.
4 - Even though my coach told me to have rotisserie chicken and ham, I think she may be wrong - I had a little of each and they just left me messed up and hungry (aka starting from scratch all over again).
5 - I no longer have anything in my wardrobe that fits. Yay!
6 - I no longer have anything in my wardrobe that fits, and I'm between sizes so will just have to deal for a few more pounds.. ;)
7 - Am going to start looking at alternative vitamins, perhaps something with a few more "B" vitamins in it.
8 - Nashua Nutrition is a great source for some alternative things. The Choc Soy puffs from Proti-Thin are the exact same as IP, but half the cost. This makes buying extra IP drinks a little easier.

Enough listy things... Off to enjoy the farmer's market and a lovely sunny day.

Congrats everyone on amazing successes!

Thanks for that! You're right - 12 lbs is good. I guess I was looking at what some people are losing in the first couple weeks and comparing myself.

Thank you though, this is just the encouragement I need to keep OP. :D

I think 12 lbs is great too. Just think other program suggest you lose 1-2 lbs a week and you're losing more than double that. You should be proud of yourself. Keep up the great work. But don't forget everybody is different and we all lose weight at different rates and you will get there. Have a great day!;)

Happy Sunday everybody!!

Hope you're all enjoying your day. I was outside all day yesterday painting the deck. Well got one coat on. And it needs another but it's raining today and suppose to rain tomorrow too. So I'll just have to finish it this week. But I must say I got a nice burn on my arms. OUCH, it sure hurt going to bed last night. Well after a long day of painting, DH suggested we go out for dinner. Hum..I was thinking. Ok, let's see what I could have. Well ended up having a greek chicken salad and told them to omit the feta cheese, which I have to say is the best part of a greek salad. But it was very good, light and I felt great afterwards. While DD had cheese capeletti and DH had Rib eye steak and fries. But I did have a couple of bites of his steak and so good and I munched a bit on his veggies. I think we'll be having mussels and shrimp for dinner tonight...yum!!

NSV: Yesterday I had to wear older clothes to paint and it was leggings and a tank top. DH couldn't believe how good I looked, he kept commenting on how sexy I looked and really couldn't keep his hands off of me..lol. TOO FUNNY! I don't know what he will do when I've lost all the weight I need to lose. Maybe this is TMI!! But he said he could really notice a difference now that I was wearing something that fit compared to my big baggy pants. So overall it felt great.

Well guys, hope you all have a great weekend. Keep up the great work. :)

Hey Browneyes, I felt like that last week and I wasn't sure what was going on either. I hadn't changed anything on the diet and had been at the washroom way too many times. Just so you know, it lasted about 2 days for me and then all of a sudden it just went away. I hope you feel better soon and it all gets back to normal. :)

Thank you so much for telling me this. I was really beginning to worry. I felt really great but ohhhhh my tummy and ... well.... you know... from sitting on the potty so many times! So far... it has lasted two days. I can say that I'm a very clean girl--- inside and out! WOW! I sure lost weight! :D:D:D Now I just want to keep it off so I will have a good weigh in at my doctor's office on Tuesday!

Gosh, I'm happy that you are sharing your success here! This is TERRIFIC NEWS!!!:broc:

BTW-- I hadn't had coffee is almost 5 weeks. I had some this morning with my shake..... oh... I thought I had gone to heaven. It didn't need anything else.. just my shake... wonderful, wonderful stuff! I'll research the vitamins for you. There's got to be something else out there. I'll let you know what I find.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

I called and asked my doc office (who put me on this program) and they had never heard of it and said I shouldn't have it.

I am also wondering how did you start on this program, do u go to an actual IP center? My doc told me about it but honestly I don't think they are too familiar with the program, considering I am her 1st patient on it and they just went to a seminar on it. I am actually worried that I am not doing Phase 1 correctly and I am not sure how long you actually stay on it.....:?:

Any advice would be appreciated. I am just hoping IP really works for me.

I was so excited when I found these. I was told that they are treated like soy, so it's a restricted vegetable. I would caution that you rinse them really well. They have a fishy odor that will go away with enough rinsing. Also, If you use them in a soup or other liquidy dish, they get mushy.

They are a great substitute for pasta, and for me at least, satisfied my pasta craving.

Can I just say how AMAZING the Strawberry Watermelon MIO is?! Holy cow. So good. I've downed 32 oz of water with it in there in an hour. And it keeps me from cheating :)

If you haven't tried MIO yet, I highly recommend it! there are several different flavors - I got Strawberry Watermelon and Berry Pomegranate (haven't tried that one yet). It definitely makes drinking water much more interesting.
