You're not alone. I have the same problem. I loss .2 according to yesterdays WI, TOM suppose to start today. I always gain 4-5 lbs. I'm not going to let it bother me. I am losing inches like crazy! Not that I have many summer clothes to begin with but when I pulled them out I can't wear a single one. I don't want to spend much $$$ on new clothes because I'm not quite at the half way point, but I have to get a couple of things. Woohoo!!! Looking forward to a really nice weight loss showing up on the scale come next week! Keep up your positive attitude! We're all in this together.

Good morning all, hope everyone is having a good day and YAY for Friday!!! Today is Day 4 for me on IP, I've been a little tired but mainly just freezing cold even though it's gorgeous out!!?? Not so sure why.. Finally decided to get on the scale this am since starting this diet and it says I'm down 5#, HOLY MACKEREL! It may be wrong, it may not, either way it's makes me extremely happy to see it and more motivated than ever to stick with it!! Last nights' dinner also perked up my mood a bit as well...I'm not a pudding/shake type of person, not a sweets' fan and the soups a bit gluey to me as well so I really liked the fine herbes and cheese omelet. Finally had some nice texture to it...and I made faux rice for dinner using cauliflower so I could venison meatloaf with "rice" and gravy! I felt like I was cheating so I'm pretty darn happy right now.

Wink Lucky Day, Lucky life

Good Morning everyone and happy Friday the 13th!

First it is my nephew's 28th birthday today, he makes me so proud he is such a good young man. Just a super kid.

Now today is my 13th wi, I think it is a lucky day. I am hoping to have lost a few since Sunday when I did something I don't do often and weighed myself. I was at 48 lbs lost, and only 2 days after my official wi at 46lbs... I am hoping I stretched this to 4 lbs and I will be at my half way point. It just makes me so excited even though I still have a long way to go, the half way is a big big point. If I do make it I will treat myself to a new haircut as my mini goal reward. I have now allowed myself a wi on Sundays and I measure myself every Sunday as well as my clinic doesn't measure every week. I also measure where they don't shoulders, midriff, calves and ankles. So far I have seen small changes but this week I don't know what it is I feel different.. better.. I am so grateful for this diet .

Cartwheelmama - I have a few favorite meals.... Turnip fries and baked fish, and cilantro pesto chicken pizza or the thai chicken pizza or the bbq chicken pizza.... I have 1 of these each on the weekends as my special treat... NO cheese in the pizza but piled with veggies you don't notice that.

Ally how did your speech go? I bet you were awesome...

Have a great weekend everyone, probably won't be on as much now that the weather is finally getting warm here. Yard work and playing with dogs is manditory. TTL

This makes me a bit concerned, I have had my "TOM" since giving birth in October. There has been a day here and there that it has stopped but for the most part it has been constant and even more so since February since getting the Mirena IUD. Does anyone know if Mirena causes increase in weight or difficulty in loosing it? My coach was unable to answer that question for me?

Yes!! Big time. Birth control loses its effectiveness, too. Also, I have to wear a pantiliner every day, even when it's not during TOM. Fat releases estrogen, so you can experience all sorts of weird things, like mood swings regardless of where you are in your cycle.

And to anyone who is worried about low weightloss during TOM - Stay strong and don't give up! It's just once a month! I ALWAYS gain 2 inches around my waist during TOM, thanks to water retention. Grrr! You'll be down more next week.

Sorta makes me jealous of guys, who can lose more per week and don't have to worry about TOM! Lol.

I stalled for a WEEK!!! Now I am struggling to get the scale moving again. Before TOM I was losing 5 a week the first three weeks. Stupid TOM!

Sorry to hear about your disappointment! At least it's still DOWN and not UP, of course. How many inches did you lose? I know that on the weeks I only lose a pound, I lose around 3 or 4 inches. Then last week I lost 4.2 pounds and 0 inches! It's like the body takes turns between one and the other.

It can be effected, too, by TOM, and also how much weight you need to lose. Those who have more to lose seem to lose faster, while those who need to lose less lose slower. Also, if you're close to goal, your weightloss slows down.

And remember, a loss is a loss, regardless of how little. Be proud that you didn't cheat, as tempting as it can be sometimes, and keep on the right path. It'll be better next week!

Happy Friday the 13th! I love Friday the 13th.

I'm right there with y'all on the TOM issue. Mine was 2 days late (drove me crazy). My hormones are all over the board- not sleeping well, cranky, teary, headache, all that lovely stuff. And I got a zit! LOL It's like being 17 all over again. But the one thing that isn't happening that usually does- I'm not binging on chocolate!

I'm on day 31 today. It's all going well. I'm not even sick of eating the same 4 things over and over- yet Still a happy little IPer here.

I hope this is not an offensive question, but what do you mean by "even better about staying OP"?

Thank you so much for this reminder!

I forgot about that... I stopped losing and I am maybe gaining but I am not seeing it my clothes... in fact, I just bought yoga pants, T-shirt and jacket in size medium, so maybe... just maybe... if I check my measurements (my coach only does it 1X per month), I might get a nice surprise?!?! I am hopeful and it helps with my motivation!
