Oops.. forgot. Ozarka is spring water. I can't drink the water here. It's so bad--you can smell the chlorine and it tastes awful-- even with a water softner and other filters. I wish...
My steak met the guidelines. It was very lean. 3 minutes on the grill each side and it was perfect. Also, grilled some zucchini. Had cauliflower and salad. I'm stuffed. I'm definitely going to place an order with NN. Thanks so much again! |

I was a bit naughty tonight-had a butter herb sauce on my veggies. It was that or no oil and I like being 'regular'. I know some of you are from DC...any restaurant suggestions? As long as I can take the metro to it I can do it. No seafood.I have around $50-60 for dinners I have 3-4 more nights here. |
So what do you do instead?

I am calling this self challenge an OP streak, and I am going to keep track of how many days straight I have been OP and put it in my sig. That way if I screw up I will have to go in and change it in my sig, and everyone will know. Maybe that will keep me accountable! Quote:

First day on IP!
I'm so happy to have started this - finally!! Last week, I had too much on my calendar and needed to get all the "bad" food cooked and eaten, rather than go to waste.
So it wasn't too bad today. I knew that I would be faced with a lot of challenges, since today was our monthly all-staff meeting with breakfast food galore... I had the berry smoothie on my way into work, then brought my 32oz. water with a Crystal Light mixed in to keep me from the bad food. Later, the crispy cereal to eat with a sprinkle of Truvia and a dash of cinnamon. So yummy! Lunch was raw veggies and another IP - I think chocolate. Dinner was easy. I sipped on a cran-pomegranate IP drink while my roomie grilled pork tenderloin and asparagus, and I enjoyed a salad with WF Sesame Ginger dressing. The dressing had a slightly weird smell, but it tastes pretty good, IMO! I was a little fuzzy today just from the lack of calories, I think, but I was successful in ignoring all of the snacks around me at work today. I even made it through a trip to the grocery store!! Here's to day #2 - I hope I am able to survive a two-day conference... ;) |

I personally HATE this holiday. some people have lost their mothers, some can't have children. It can be depressing. It is also hard when you get married. I have a mom and my fiance has a mom. For the past 5 years we have always gone to her house, because my mom and I were not close. Now that my mom and I are closer again, after giving her a grandchild. I find mothers day is a pain. Now we have to figure out how to celebrate both of them in one day. I love them both and would hate for either one to feel left out. I am sorry your son didn't drop by. you have evey right to be upset if he was already in the car and could have come over. What I hate about this holiday is having a child who is too young to know what mothers day is. My fiance woke me up with her and gave me breakfast in bed and a picture she drew for me. He came with my IP cereal and my vitamins. But for the remaining of the day it was all about HIS mother (which is fine, I love her dearly) I just wish he would have gotten me flowers too. He says it is "mothers day, not wife day" and that I will have to wait until our daughter can get me flowers. BUMMER. |
JudoGirl--Congrats! You need no luck. You are totally going to rock this. You are one of the most knowledgeable folks on the forum and you have communication skills AND a success story. You will do great. Congrats! :carrot::carrot:
I'm back from my WI (not sure which number) and am down 2.8 lbs so I'm finally in the 140s. I am starting phase 2 tomorrow to prepare for a trip in a little over 4 weeks. We'll see how it goes. |

As I understand it, certain sweeteners cause your pancreas to react and start releasing insulin into your bloodstream. Some don't. Aspartame is one of the bad ones, Truvia/Stevia and Splenda are the good ones. In my experience, it DOES have an impact, as much as I hate to admit it. I'm a former Diet Coke junkie, and that was one of the hardest things to give up on this diet. -Lisa |
just have to post this... i ordered new protein from netrition and of course i always order enough to get the freebie junket. :D this time a tape measure to easily do your own arm or whatever. you click it together around yourself then press a little button and it picks up the slack. i've been using my sewing tape which is doable but this thing is sweet!
so here are my stats in inches- jan 2, march 17 and today. waist- 40.5, 36, 34 thigh- 27.5, 24.5, 23 upper arm- 13, 12.5, 11 butt- 46.5, 42, 40 i always round up to the 1/2 so as to error on the side of caution. happy dance (holding up my sweat pants with one hand...wavin my new fancy tape measure with the other!!) :carrot::carrot: |
