Hi all, I am on day 2 and really hoping the headaches and nausea die off in the next couple days. They do right? LOL
Browneyes: I am sorry you had a bad mothers day. I personally think Mothers day is a completely BS day to begin with, As a woman with 7 years of IF and 10 m/c under her belt it never comes as a happy day. I think that a day where we are reminded to treat our mothers respect is really not necessary, why do we need to send a card thanking our mothers once a year when we should be telling them we love them all the time. I don't get it.
I think I am also extra bitter about the mothers day thing this year because my DBF mother was laying on the guilt trip large yesterday that he didn't plan to take her for dinner. We just took her for a weeks vacation in the caribbean and got back on May1. We had them to our condo, we took them out for dinner 3 times at very nice places, we took them to an out island and even had a limo pick them up for dinner one night. Some of the dinner bills were 500$, arrrgggghhh...This is the same woman that whines and complains if DBF spends a dime, UNLESS its on her. My DBF sister lives in another city and all she did was call.
My 2 mothers (mother and step mother) received cards from me because we live far away. They know not to make a big stink about the whole mothers day.. its a day I like to wipe clean fro my calendar each year personally.
I hope everyone had a wonderful day.. wish me luck I have to take the DBF mother out for mothers day dinner tonight :)

OMG about your mother-in-law. Well, not in-law as I assume DBF means Dear BoyFriend? She should appreciate the vacation and everything else you've done for her. I have an out-law (ex mother-in-law) who was like that. We were always at her house and if we weren't, she was angry. My mother got extremely angry at that too and the fact that we were always at the out-laws house instead of hers. Thank God I'm divorced now and don't have to deal with that! Look, there is a perk in being divorced! :D
Oh and about your headaches- they will die off as soon as your body detoxes. My BF had a headache for 3-4 days straight when he started IP because of the caffeine in all the soda he used to drink. Depends on the person as to how long it takes for your body to rid itself of the toxins that are causing your headaches (and what they are).
I don't know why you feel neauseated though, that's not something I've encountered. Maybe someone can chime in on this?
On a separate note:
I just got my thyroid test back and my level is 0.02. A month ago it was 3.0. I'm taking Armour Thyroid and was told to cut it back but I thought 3.0 was a fine level so I didn't. Last test was 6.0 and the one a few months before that was 10.0! So this is the first time in 2-3 years that my level has been normal (since I started asking exactly what the levels were, not just dumbly believing the doctor when he/she said they were low. Been hypothyroid for 5 years now).
0.02 means my thyroid is working and the level is actually too high. But I feel totally normal and happy! I am thinking of seeing a naturopath instead of my current doctor. He doesn't really pay attention. I believe in treating my symptoms, not my lab tests. Anyone else out there with hypothyroidism feel the same way? Why is it so hard to get doctors to listen to our symptoms instead of relying whole-heartedly on lab results (which vary widely anyway). Last year when I did IP it did not help my thyroid levels at all (they didn't change), so I really don't think IP had anything to do with these levels.
Also, today my head is in the clouds and I forgot my sweater and my protein bar for lunch. I am freezing but luckily I had some protein powder here at work and I do have my salad. I also put my tea in my BF's bag and almost took his IP lunch this morning instead of mine! Woo I hope my brain returns to me at some point. I would forget it too if it weren't already inside my head. :D
