Browneyes-

the packet is the protein packed "meal" currently you are having just shakes. But like Darbs says, she has the "omelet" packet for breakfast, there are a few different packets out there.
I'm using alternative products so here's what my day consists of

Breakfast- protein shake
Lunch- alternative packet ( bought off nashua ie: soup, omelete, pudding, drink mix) and veggies and salad
Dinner- 5-8 oz meat and veggie
Snack- protien bar ( I use the nashua product ones that compare with IP, and I have a books of Proti-diet bars too- again comparable to IP)

This way I'm not having 2-3 shakes a day like I thought I would, but just could not have handled. Even though I LOVE my shake flavors

HTH

Oh THANK YOU! I apoligize for sounding so dumb. You'd have thought I never read the other threads before.

So... for breakfast, I will have a shake and my water. No prob.

For lunch I can have one of those "other" packets like omlets or soup (is there one that's better than others? I love soup) Veggies and a salad. Again... no problem.

For dinner, I have my regular on program food requirement, plus veggies and salad. You are still having 2 salads, right? What do you use for dressing?

Then... at night you have a protein bar? Any favorites that you particularly like?

Oh... this is sounding so much better already! Thanks.

I hope everyone has a great day. I am starting phase 3 on June 13th no matter what, it will be my 9 month mark. I am really excited to work hard at keeping it off and getting in great physical shape.

I am nervous, but I am confident that I have learned so much over these months to help me do this. The losing part is probably the easy part. Now I can see if I really have changed.

Congrats to everyone who had a wonderful Mother's Day:carrot::carrot:

Darbs your the Queen....I'm on Phase 3##
see my other post...I'm excited....

Finally had a talk with my mom about always offering ice cream. Then I realized I really hard one because she only lost a lot of weight because I took over her food when she had a stroke. However, she likes supervising me so now she gets to and stop offering me my kryptonite.

I pulled some fresh swiss chard from the garden. I love vegetables. I have just been so full on this diet it's been hard to get in, but I will.

Sigh..you don't have pm's yet...LoL.
If you're comfortable posting your email..I can send you something that way. I'm also on skype as jamblance

I've only been on the program for 2 weeks, and have bought things sparingly. Have 2 different bars, and only one type soup so far :D

I'm so sorry to learn that you're down about your daughter. I know exactly how you feel and can totally sympathize.

What is considered a "packet"? Is that the protein shake? Or any type of product that meets the "rules" of 2 non-restricted and 1 restricted? I think I'd be happier with more variety like that.

Yes, a packet meets the guidelines I typed in before..if you go to an IP clinic they have a list, but if you buy alternatives online you need to follow the carb/calorie amount...especially the carbs.

So far today I've had a shake and water for breakfast. For lunch I had a shake, 2 veggies and salad. Tonight for dinner I'm going to have a little steak and veggies and salad and water. I'm drinking at least 6 bottles of Ozarka (16.9 fl oz each or a little over 100 oz of water). Would love to have a coffee but can't have artificial sweetner, right?

What do you have for steak? On IP it is very limited to lean cuts only (filet mignon, tenderloin, 96% lean ground)

No aspertame, but you can have stevia as a sweeter

What is the Ozarka? Is that plain water you should have 100 ounces of plain tap water. I will give a quick environmental stab (I teach environmental science)...if your tap water is good drink it...tap water is tested twice daily and many times bottled water has no regulations. If not could you put a filter on your tap? Bottled water produces so much plastic waste....and drinking tap water would save you a ton of dough....okay coming down off my soapbox....sorry.

Any other questions, don't hesistate. I love ordering from NN...and if you spend over $99 the shipping is free and comes in a day or two.

I eat the omelet for breakfast every day, pure protein shakes from Target every day for lunch, and a bar from NN every day (the three different peanut butter types I typed in early)

I know I can do it. I recognize I'm just having a little pitty party and really appreciate the extra guidance that everyone is providing. I love this group.

Thanks

You got this....kick butt!!!:carrot::carrot::carrot:

I had resisted so much this weekend and then 3 bars before bed? Yikes. I'm going to do 1 week no restricteds cold turkey. Let's keep each other accountable!!

Ugh, count me in too. Today was a bar and a puffs day. And I still felt hungry. They are so yummy, but I don't find them satisfying at all.

Maybe we should start a special thread for all of us "bar bingers". I need a support group- like 12 step or something. All my life -literally- I've had a sweet snack & cup of tea after supper. I swear it started from the cradle. My brain is seriously programmed to want sweets after dinner! The bars fit the bill, so it's like a recipe for disaster.
Once again, gotta break that habit! :)

Good Morning! I was going to start the thread this morning, but I couldn't figure out the "bells and whistles" either. I need to go and find Carla's post with the instructions. Maybe we could have the instructions on it's own thread and keep bumping it up?

Anywho, I am going to be perfectly OP today! I have a short term goal to have 7 "perfect" days in a row. "Perfect" means to me, all vitamins taken, all packets in (at the correct times), and nothing shall enter my mouth that is not allowed!

Hopefully, I can turn this into several weeks. I want to be as good as I was in the beginning!! I can do it!

Wow, what a great idea! Can't believe I haven't thought of that! Isn't it amazing how easy it is to end of off program with the hustle and bustle of everyday life!? I think I am just going to set up seven baggies at the beginning of the week so all I have to do is grab the lettuce and protein for dinner and see if that works!

Good luck with your goal! You can do this!!!

Thanks!
