Good morning ALL! Great job yesterday, everyone! Tomorrow I meet with my trainer to start lifting weights and sculpting my new thinner body. I am sure I will gain pounds back, but it will be lean muscle mass which will help in keeping fat off and boost my metablolism. Keep up the good work all!

You, and Juiceman, are kicking my booty in the weight loss department -I think your 55 pounds is INCREDIBLE WAY TO GO--it is great to see all of us who started together (big smile and wink...this will happen to those of you who started together) loose together -I look forward to watching and experiencing this journey with you (and moving on to our new phases eventually)!!!!

CheekyWit and Longdivision - We all three have had a great journey and it will continue at the pace our bodies dictate. We all three have had great success and will continue to. It is nice to see we are all still here working towards our goal. I know of a few people who have stopped the journey and are no longer here. I do wish I could help them and bring them back, but we have to want to do this and it is a very large personal committment. Thanks for sticking around and helping out.

We can do it, GIT R DUN! LOL!

Hey Juice, CheekyWit and Longdivision... Can I get in on some of that love??? I too started in January (well Dec 27th) and have been lurking/posting with you guys daily... On Tuesday I hit the lost 50 pounds mark and am just trucking along wonderfully. I may not post terribly often, but most often it is because you have all said everything there is to say and I just sit back, nod and laugh! But know that I am here, nodding, laughing and losing right along with you. I may even get up the courage to put up some pictures after Easter. I have been doing alternative products since day one, but still feel like part of the IP family. And am loving every minute. Gotta love this site and all the support and information. It has really kept me going. Onward and downward as they say!!! :D

We share the love with all! Great job so far! I have switched to Alternative Products for the past 6 weeks. Posting pictures is a great motivator. Trust me, I didn't want to do it since mainly women are on here and I wanted progress pics in just gym shorts. I did not want to offend or gross anyone out, but decided to take the risk and post em. It has helped me a bunch. Keep up the good work!

I'll take that love !!! Juice and Longdivision you have done awesome. I also started in Jan but seem to be a slow loser but loser all the same. Depending on WI today I may switch to Phase 2. I will not pay $90 a week to lose .02 lbs till goal.
Juice may contact you about alternatives.
I am a little nervous about today but it's my body and I am taking charge. Phase 2 here I come??:?:

Feel free to contact me about alternatives. It would still be wise to research on your own so you fully understand and not just taking someone else's word. This program is all about knowledge and understanding. Great job so far!

hey everyone! my 2nd wi is coming Saturday, and i am really nervous. it seems that my home scale has not moved much and i am getting discouraged. i know that i have a few more days and i have remained faithful to the plan. i just really want to get this weight off. i lost 9lbs my first wi and i know i prob won't lose that much this time, but i should still lose right???????

kjw83 04-20-2011 09:07 AM

Can someone offer any advice on how to get out of this stall I`m in? It`s been 3 weeks since I lost any weight and I`m fluctuating back and forth with the same 2 pounds. I have 8-10 more pounds to lose, and it`s just not coming off. What have some of you done to shake your body up and get it going again?? I`m in phase 2, have been for about 1 1/2 months. I tried going back to phase 1 for a week and still lost nothing and was alot more hungry so I went back to phase 2. Do I need to phase off and then go back on again? I`m just afraid to stop right now, because I don`t want to gain anything back, and get discouraged. But I`m discouraged right now! Do I add exercise in more regularly? Is there anyone who can give me some advice with this issue?? Thanks so much :)

Congratulations for making it almost 2 weeks on IP! You've made it through the most difficult days.

I wish I could come and hide your scale! ;) Weighing often IS discouraging and it messes with your mind. I highly recommend weighing once per week, but I know that in itself takes alot of willpower! LOL!

Weight loss with IP IS "Predictable and Repeatable". If you stay on the plan 100% you will lose weight!

Keep on keeping on! You can do this!

I am right there with you. I am down 20 with 10 to go...and I have been stalled for a while. My mother passed away 6 months ago, and that has been part of my problem. I need to move forward with the last 10 pounds.

wekaba 04-20-2011 09:15 AM

Weigh in # 6 today. Down 7 pounds.....part of that was recovery from last weeks gain.

I'm ready to lose another 25+!

Wishing you ALL a terrific, perfect IP day!

Moonstruck, I know how you feel!
I lost my mother two years ago and that is when I added 30 pounds to my body. I was depressed but didn't realize it until I came out from the depression a year later.
I was so embarrassed by my weight and couldn't believe I had done that to myself! It's almost like I didn't realize what I was doing, and I certainly didn't care at the time. I just missed my mom and was trying to help my dad cope.

It is a difficult time for you. I cheer you on in getting started on that last 10 pounds!!

Morning everyone, I want to first say you all are a true motivation and I love this community as I see it an essential part of the IP program. Day 10 for me today and Im feeling great. I cant seem to be able to shake the big "C". I incorporate at least one whole bag of Romaine hearts a day! My coach told me to take Colace, but so far nothing. Going to Chilis for the hubby's B-day and then the movies. I already researched the menu and glad I can stay 100% OP! Everyone have a spectacular day:)

Addy 04-20-2011 09:45 AM

Good morning everyone,
Congrats on the losses and NSV's.

WI yesterday, lost 1.8lbs and started phase 3 today. I was a little worried I would over do it this morning, but I think I got it right. :) I felt a little full, but not overly.

Wishing everyone a great day. Stay strong

Keair 04-20-2011 09:55 AM

Good morning everyone!! I hope everyone had an OP day and enjoys their Wednesday! We are half way to the weekend!!!

krisbelle 04-20-2011 09:56 AM

Sometimes after a big loss (and nine pounds is BIG) you might see a smaller loss the next week---hang in there---this program works!!!

Take 3 heaping teaspoons of CALM in the evening, after dinner. It's magnesium in a powder that tastes like lemon-raspberry and is approved for IP (Peter Gillham's Natural Calm is the full name of it). I always take it with hot water. Drink it and wait, maybe 1-2 hours. You should have a movement. Can you tell this has been a problem for me? :)

Plan to do some research and read all the posts. Just can't see the point in spending all that money and not lose. Will admit that I am frustrated at this time and just want to be done. I am committed to this journey but looking in the mirror and have to do a double take. Damn I am looking good (at least better than before). Waiting for my appt to weigh in. Will post later

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I know I am not running this marathon alone!!

Thank you CinnamonSparkles! I am on my way to WallyWorld to see if they carry it! My Dr. said it is likely the Cal/Mag pills causing it. I drink at least 120oz of water a day and I just feel so miserable:( Agin, t:Dhanks soooo much for the quick advice!:D

WI#2 last night and I'm down another 4.6 lbs and 5.5". I was super happy, especially after a weekend of eating out 3 different times. I was able to stay OP at all times, but was concerned I had overeaten on the protein.

Great job everyone on the losses! And thank you for all the tips and motivation, it makes this journey so much easier for me!!

OMG, This is exactly what happened to me! I lost my mom 2 years ago. My dad came to live with me. Although he is very self sufficient, My entire lifestyle changed. It felt like having kids at home again! I was used to coming and going as I pleased now suddenly I have to be responsible???? I gained 20 pounds over about 18 months, mostly from lack of activity and preparing meals for a retired farmer who is used to "3 squares a day." I think Dad and I were both learning how to cope. I've decided it's time to take my life back!!! Hello IP!!

That request deserves a huge "LOL"! I sooo miss my Atkin style breakfasts at times, but oh well! I made the family stone ground toast with butter and no sugar added strawberry preserves and just know I drooled on someones toast!!!:o

rjslilmommie 04-20-2011 11:13 AM

I totally need to hide the scale, I weighed myself this morning and up 1.6lbs mind you it is TOM and not sure how much that has to weigh in on it, I have been very sticking to the plan, I am not even eating any restricted foods, so I am not sure if this will kick and by tuesday I will see a decrease, I am hoping, any advice would be great.

puppygurl21 04-20-2011 11:19 AM

Hi everyone, tomorrow will be WI #2 for me and I'm pretty sure there won't be too much of a weight loss. I am becoming a bit frustrated with eating the same things especially since I'm not much of a veggie person! Anyway, it is my TOM now (which was weirdly brought on by IP since I am on the birth control shot and should not have it). So my question is, when the TOM ends, will I begin to lose weight right away or will it take another week or so?? I'm really needing to see some better results quicker or I'm going to lose motivation!
P.S. I have not cheated at all!

M0vingon 04-20-2011 11:25 AM

Hi everyone!

I am so happy to see some of the people who have been on the program for a long time. You are so inspiring!

Krisbelle I am in awe of you. Having the commitment to lose the weight and stay with it is fantastic! You are an inspiration to me.

Today was my official week 1 WI and I lost a total of 7.6 lbs. I've done a lot of dieting in my life and not lost that much in 1 week- ever. I'm pretty happy- especially because sticking with it has been really easy.

TWoww I'm with you on the "Big C". not my usual state, and I'm surprised considering the volume of veggies and water I'm downing in a day, but I'll be buying to assist in that area today as well. Blech.

Have a great day everyone! :)

gaya2081 04-20-2011 11:37 AM

Good afternoon all,
I haven't been able to keep up with all the discussion since Monday afternoon when I found out I needed to be in Washington DC the rest of the week. I had to rush to finish my work clothes (I wash them separate to help prevent fur on them) and pack up and go. I am on a train back to Philadelphia at the moment because I was rewarded with some Phillys tickets and the game starts at 1!
I ate dinner before I left home Monday and had my snack in the car. Yesterday I went out with a coworker and got some grilled sea bass with green beans and arugula. It was SOOO good. I am quite happy I have a go to fish since I really don't like fish. I am going to try incorporating fish at least once a week in my diet...too bad sea bass is so expensive :(
Then we went to another coworkers photo show/fundraiser. There were lots of snacks and cakes and chocolate there but I resisted. I did get my husband Carmel corn cooked in bacon grease. He should enjoy that. There is a buffet place across the street from my client site that has a Mongolian grill in it. Stir-fried veggies for lunch the rest of the week! I am just having them use a little bit of soy sauce and some sesame oil to cook them. Easy solution for my lunchtime veggies-I wish it was this easy everywhere!

My TOM come on with a vengeance over the course of the morning-a day early. Thanks to all your comments I was prepared-somewhat. My husband is meeting me at the ballpark with some extra 'supplies' and some midol. Such a dear!

I am still sad about not weighing in. I hope my client for next week makes up their minds what days they want me so I can schedule one for next week. I am confident my home scale is very close to my coaches (I checked last week) so I will weigh in Saturday around lunch since I will be home.
My May is quickly filling up-first 3 weeks are already booked up! Then June/July I will be working out of my parents house and helping with party and wedding stuff. My mother talked to her coach and she will allow my mom to buy packets for me so I don't have to bring enough for 6ish weeks-woohoo!

My mother also lost weight again this week-she lost 0 her WI#3. Another 3 pounds for her-I am SOO happy for her. It looks like she is one of those that are extra sensative to carbs. She was usually drinking 2 of the chocolate shakes a day and it seems it was just a bit too much for her. She didn't have that problem weeks 1 and part of week 2 because she was working through her samples. Oh well!
Now to read through the rest of your lovely posts while I finish my train ride!

gaya2081 04-20-2011 11:39 AM

Oh for those of you with the big 'C', have you tried adding just a bit more oil to your diet? That fixes me right up. I notice it really only works on me if its not cooking oil, but oil in sauces and dressings that help!

CinnamonSparkles 04-20-2011 11:57 AM

WI #1 today - lost 5.6 pounds.

Have not lost any inches. Here's to a great week of losing more fat and inches!

I love that Mongolia BBQ in Chinatown! It is soooo good. Have them add garlic to yours too. They have fresh garlic ready in a little pot next to the sauces. I had them add it and it was so yummy! You can probably eat the meat there too. I have no idea since I'm vegetarian (well eating fish and shrimp now, so not total vegetarian, but they only had other non-seafood meats there when I went). Have fun at the game today!

This really did make me laugh out loud! Last night my daughter & youngest son (the only ones in the fam not doing IP) decided to go to Fuddruckers for supper. Later, when I picked up my son from his music lesson I asked him how supper was, then 'what did you have?', and 'what did Laurissa have?'

He gave me that look, and said 'Seriously, Mom?' I just burst out laughing!

rondre 04-20-2011 01:03 PM

hey everyone - finally got my sig (woooot). Have had a rough few days on the water intake but am gonna set a goal of 12 cups a day until my next WI a week from tomorrow. Had 3 days last week of 12 cups and my water % went up a full % but i'm still almost 3% below where they want me to be. Also noticed that I lost most of my weight those 3 days I drank the most - not sure if that is connected or just coincidence but might as well give it a shot.

GL to all for an OP week.

Please don't get discouraged! For me, my weigh ins are on Mondays if I weigh anytime during the week the scales show no loss or even a little gain but come Mondays the losses most definitley show. This usually happens to me now(not in the beginning) every week and when it's my 1 week weigh in time it's most always between a 3 to 4 pound loss. It's really weird in a way but that's what happens. So now, I wait untill my 1 week weigh in to avoid that discouragement. It was hard to stop weighing each day but just put your trust in the diet, it will come off. My coach had mentioned to me(when I was weighing all the time and got stressed seeing no loss) that when you weigh daily and you don't see any loss it sets off stress hormones in your body which can in turn affect your weekly weight loss, this is what helped me to stop stepping on the scale.

carlasherea 04-20-2011 01:18 PM

I had an interesting comment from my Sister-in-law yesterday. As we were packing her house up for her move, she said "I miss the old you, where we would sit down and eat junk together!" That was a huge compliment. She sees that I have made a lifestyle change and as hard as it is, it pushes her to be better. When we had a break, instead of reaching for the bag of Doritos (which were calling my name all day) I had a protein bar and she had a protein shake! Job well done!! I also got 6 hrs of continuous exercise. The only downfall was when they ordered in pizza for dinner and I wasn't prepared. Seeing as how I am on maintenance I had a couple of pieces, but am back to protein and veggies today!

Have a great day. I am excited because I am only 2 mo. away from keeping this weight off for 1 year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
