Hi,
17 weeks so far and averaging 2.23 lbs a week. Faster at first(21 lbs in first 7wks).
I delayed my blood work cuz I was afraid to see what the readings were. Talk about a head in the sand move! Anyway, finally did it about 2 mo in and found out I had a thryoid problem that would slow down weight loss, all other readings were excellent, thank God! Took me another month to research thryoid med before I would take it, so have been on it for about 1 month now.

I have also, almost daily, eaten an extra protein, usually more meat, but occasionally (rarely) an extra restricted bar, my bad!

Another bad thing is until recently I had the hardest time getting all the water in, usually had only, maybe 40ish ounces a day.

In the last month I have up'd my water to close to 60 oz a day, started the thryoid med, been better at having less portein on a daily basis, have an extra bar aprox once every 8 days.

There were weigh-ins in the middle that were the same for 2 weeks in a row, a .5 loss, 1.5 loss, 1.4 loss, and one w a l lb gain.

In the last month after the low losses, stalls, 1 lb gain and with the "moderately" improved habits and the thryoid med, the losses improved to 4, 2.4, 3, and 2.5.

I say all that to say this......calculating the loss ratios shared so far, makes me even more inspired to be stricter, disappointed in myself for draging myself along.....but I certainly am further than I would have been without IP and this site and my energy level is through the roof!

IP is amazing and as someone else said the body shape changes are great.

Thanks to all on this site, too,:book2: for all that is honestly shared about our journey on the adventure we are on together. You are all inspiring me to be better.:grouphug: one day one meal at a time

I started 2/28, so 6.5 weeks ago, I'm down 27 lbs. I went from a tight size 16 to a loose 12/tight 10!

The plan is hard, but WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!

sweck08 04-14-2011 08:02 AM

colleenm 04-18-2011 01:48 PM

31 weeks and lost 100 pounds.

bikiniboy 04-18-2011 02:54 PM

I think it depends on the person's body build. It seems the more heavier a person weighs the faster the weight goes down versus a smaller person on a similar diet. I had a friend who weighed in at 192 and in 3 months lost 30 lbs and another who was 230 at weigh in and lost 70 in 3 months.

jacko 04-18-2011 10:19 PM

21 weeks = 95lbs.. :-)

Hi! I'm in Wichita also. I understand from a thread I posted that Dopps on South Meridian has this? I also found Hancock Chiropractic, Willow Tree, etc. I'm not sure how they all compare cost wise, but this diet seems awesome. I only worry about what will happen after.

I am 42, kids at home are 17, 8, and 2; work full time, weigh 198 and want to weight 165. My hubby has said he will pay for Jenny Craig or something that would help me feel better about myself, but this program seems like it would be better.

Can you let me know your thoughts? Thanks.

2manysizes 04-20-2011 09:56 PM

Had 24 pounds to lose....down 20 pounds in 7 weeks! Took me almost 3 months at WW!

NewMe2011 04-21-2011 06:26 PM

7th week and down 25lbs, or plus since weigh in is tonight

ShannaSchueller 04-21-2011 06:31 PM

I've been on the diet just over 6 months now. I had my first weigh-in on October 13 and actually started the diet on October 15. I will admit I cheat at times and could lose faster if I'd stick more closely to the diet, but luckily I've only had 3 weigh-ins where I'd gained (in 6 months that's not too bad I guess).
Here are my numbers:

Weight: -65.5 pounds
Chest: -8 inches
Waist: -6.5 inches
Hip: -9 inches
Arm: -4 inches
Thigh: -2.5 inches

brandam6 04-21-2011 09:24 PM

10 weeks, down 33 lbs. I love this diet! It has changed (and still changing) my life!

All I can say is that I am over 60, tried most diets out there and I just wish I had found this a few years ago. It is working for me and I am having so much fun watching the pounds vanish.

Weee, this is a fun thread and so inspirational!

I have lost 34 pounds in 35 days. I have also lost enough inches to go shopping in the 'other' side of my closet. =)

Shrinking Sandra 05-09-2011 04:42 PM

I answered before, but I was only 3 weeks in with 19lbs lost.

Now I have finished 7 weeks and have lost 34lbs.

orlando 05-09-2011 07:27 PM

My first week on IP I only lost 3.5lbs and I'm very disappointed. I weigh in again this Wednesday and don't feel like I've lost a pound and I haven't cheated even once. I hear all these people talking about losing 10lbs their first week so I feel like I'm dong something wrong.

Lisaf373 05-09-2011 07:37 PM

One year, 85 pounds.

Don't be. Everyone is different, and 3.5 pounds in a week is good progress. I lost around that much my first week. Keep it up!

Bootsmom 05-09-2011 10:09 PM

7 lbs in 5 days!

Emmcakes 05-10-2011 04:44 PM

I started the program in 2007. I did it for 5 months and lost 55 lbs. I slowly regained some of the weight since then, and I've been on IP for 1 week now and 6.7 lbs down.

vballmom 05-10-2011 05:42 PM

4 weeks and 16 pounds. WI #5 tomorrow...I hope to be at 20 pounds!
