I posted below that I was only donw 3lbs for my first WI since starting IP. I was a little bit discouraged.
Is there anything I could be doing or am doing wrong to make this a slow process, I thought the weight would have been way more, I felt like I did lose more but the scale does not lie right?
I drink more than enough water every day, have my three IP packs and my one meal (3-5oz of protein and loads of veggies)
Please help, I have a total of 56 well 53 lbs to lose.
I don't do ideal protein but I know someone who was on Medifast and her loss stalled- after consulting with a MF Nutritionist the culprit turned out to be rotisserie chicken Whatever they were using for a marinade was full of sugar and carbs and salt. The second she got off of it she started losing weight. Now she just buys raw chicken and cooks it all up on the weekends to use during the week

If you can list out exactly what you eat for 1-2 days, someone may be able to give you some tips. Are you exercising? Is it TOM? Are you on other medications? Also, I suggest posting this in the daily chat, because more people will see it. Good luck!

Well I guess the scale does not lie, but sometimes might be missing some info! What time of day was your WI, where are you in your monthly cycle, are you retaining fluid for any reason? Any of these could affect the number on the scale, and sometimes there's just no making sense of it.
I know from personal experience how those numbers can mess with our minds, but don't give up. The program works, and you'll probably see a number you like way better next week.
You may not be eating enough. Are you getting 4 cups of the right veggies in? And your protein should be 5-7 oz. If you're not eating enough your body will go into starvation mode and you won't lose as fast. I'm over the 200 mark so I have to have an extra protein pack every day. When I make sure I have it, I lose more. If I don't (and some days I'm just not that hungry) I don't lose. My first week on IP was slow, the second week was over 7 pounds. It'll move

I would echo the advice of other people on here, I think you need more protein with your dinner and make sure you're getting 4 cups of veggies. If you feel hungry add in another protein pack (non restricted) and try that. Also, if you're exercising vigorously I'd say don't do that for the first couple weeks....your body is adapting to a much smaller calorie diet and you don't want to burn too many calories and put yourself into starvation mode (and hey, what other diet tells you NOT to exercise at the beginning?!) haha.
Best of luck and don't give up!! You will do well, give it time!
Are you making sure you are getting your fats in? Also, what IP packets are you eating? My hubby wanted all the choc drink packets until we found out that they had 9 carbs each! If he drank 2 of those and a restricted per day that would be a lot of carbs!! So we both make sure and just do one choc per day. How about carbonated drinks (even the cal free ones)???
Also, I know IP is suppose to be free of calorie counting. But it certainly wouldn't hurt to just keep track of your cals for one typical week. That may help you see if you are undereating or even overeating. Sometimes the combination of our choices and veg preferences can make a big difference. I tend to eat/like very low cal veggies, so I actually have to add a protein source to keep my cals in the normal range.
Good luck! I've learned that with IP you sometimes have to do a lot of experimenting to find your sweet spot!

I have for sure my 5-7oz of protein at dinner and for veggies, I usually have a salad, with 1 cup of cucumber, peppers and mushrooms, then a cup of steamed brocoili, if I do not have the steamed veggie then I have 2 cups of above mentioned veggies.
For lunch with my IP package, usually a soup or if it is a restricted like veggie chili then I have 2 cups of fresh veggies, I usually will have radish, peppers, cucumbers, mushrooms, and zucchini.
I try but do forget to have my fat or added oil every day, I do take my sea salt every day. I have only been walking, as I did feel a little more tired when I first started the program. I am very determined to do this, I was just wondering if I am doing something wrong.
For tomorrow for instance, I am having
Breakfast: green tea, no milk or sugar and IP package omelet
Lunch: salad with two cups of veggies, cucumber, peppers, and mushrooms, and IP restricted Chili
Dinner: broiled chicken and salad with same veggies as above.
Snack: IP vanilla pudding.
The veggies you like are very low calorie. I would suggest trying a week of more protein. I'm not sure how much you weight, but I would consider adding an egg or two per day and see what happens to the scale. and don't forget your oil...it is very important!!

Am I missing anything???
Nope your menu looks good. Make sure you get your evoo in 1tsp at lunch and one at dinner. What do you eat on your salad? Make sure you are drinking 100 ounces of water.
I also feel it has to do with how much weigh now. The more you weigh the more you loose. I have noticed from these boards that folks that are between 170-140 are loosing a pound or two a week on IP on average. Do not get discouraged though. Like many have told you this plan does work. Keep up the good work.
