  • Susie!.. glad you're back with us... it'll be fun being included in your wedding countdown!.. great idea to have Brandon take daily photos... you'll do great!..

Your post brought back memories of my own wedding a long time ago... on my day, I weighed 118!.. omgosh, I could never really dream of being that small again... not sure I'd want to, anyway, the baggy skin would be hideous!..

Congrats to all for your many SVs & NSVs!..

    hugs
  • Quote: So I just counted and it's 79 days until my wedding! So I have decided to continue going hardcore for 75 days, and take it easy on the 4 days leading to my wedding. To keep myself motivated, my before pictures are hanging on my fridge and I made a 75 day weight loss chart. I am also thinking of getting Brandon to take a picture of me every day for the next 75 days so at the end I can put them all together in a video to see myself shrink like they do in the show X-Weighted and Bulging Brides! Little things to keep me motivated!!

Hope everyone is having a good IP day!!!
You can do this 75 days and you will always have all those wonderful pictures to admire your hard work.

Quote: Hey there. Still hanging in there. I must admit that I did have a piece of fried chicken (with the skin) yesterday. I know it is not an excuse however I was doing a home visit for one of my kids. this child resides with his grandmother on the reservation that we live by. I have dealt extensivly with this reservation and tribal customs and it is considered "rude" and "disrepectful" to not accept food etc when visiting if it is offered. There was a whole bunch of stuff there and the chicken was the best choice. Now I could have taken the skin off but I chose not to. I did drink a TON of water on the way home. I must say I am proud of myself for not just turning it into a full blown cheat. Although today I am on the edge!

Good job....I don't think the chicken is a big deal (and if there was no breading...really minor). let's get past this plateau and bust into the 160's!

Quote: Tomorrow will be my last day on phase II. I gained a couple of lbs the 1st week on phase II, but managed to lose them plus 1.4 lbs extra. I am hoping that I don't continue to gain in phase III. I have been doing yoga on Thursday nights, and will be adding two weight days as I move to phase III. I am a little nervous, I see my coach tomorrow and will ask my questions for phase III, but from what I have been reading it seems like one of the harder phases, even though it isn't as strict as phase I or II.

On a side note I will most likely be back on IP phase I in June or July, to lose the last 15-20lbs. We will see how the muscle gain and toning goes.
Oh goodness....you sound like me....I am thinking I might want to get to 146 now too. My plan is to follow 100% until I live for Vegas on June 28th...whatever I end up at and then I will reassess upon return. (I will have two mini-cheat dinners....extra fat and some wine for my anniversary and my hubby's birthday 5/28 and 6/12). What day do you leave for Jamica?
  • SV!.. 5 lbs. less today than when I re-started protocol 8 days ago!..

NSVs!.. Signs of ketosis (none very pleasant, but hey) ~ cold all the time, headaches, dry mouth during the night (even though I'm drinking over 100 oz. water/day (I was beginning to think I'd started snoring!)), smelly urine... that's all I've noticed so far, other than the weight loss...

Haven't started losing hair yet & hope I don't... a while back, Linden recommended taking Inositol to prevent hair loss & I've been taking it every day with my other supplements... I'll just have to wait & see... last year in my first round, my hair didn't start falling out 'til about the 3rd month... no, it didn't ALL fall out, but it was definitely noticeable... it's filled back in pretty nicely now...

    hugs
  • Darbs, I will be leaving on the 27th. I know everyone seems to say it is harder to stay 100% the second time around, but I am hoping that with some muscle building and a break, I can come back even stronger both physically and mentaly, and then lose the 20 lbs.
  • Hey, ya'll! Tough times been going on...you know how it is. Back and 100% (almost, working on that). I missed you all. Going back to read and catch up some.

How are you? What has been going on? Tough times?
  • DAMN you wagon and your rickity wheels. Ok so fell off. gonna pick myself up and move on.

Just stuff, life. Everything is ok. I'm ok. Thanks.

I've been starting on, but not feeling it. Now, I finally am back to feeling it. I even hated coming check everyone else out on here, feeling like a failure. You know how our minds can mess with everything. I regret not keeping on keeping on, but I can't change the past. Though that ticks me off, not just a little.

How are you? 15 pounds to go, I see! You can do it!

    Me, too, Melissa, me, too.

I know the feeling...I look at people I started with in September who have made goal and I wish I was at goal. But I do not regret that I have had some awesome trips in the last 3 months and that I learned how to enjoy them, but to be 100% on plan when they were over. I managed to make it through the winter and my travels and still lose 20 pounds.

I hope to put down this last 15 quick. I am trying hard not to cheat but I think about it all the time.
  • I just went and bought a new scale (I usually weigh on Wii Fit but my sister borrowed my wii so I have been using an old dial scale) and my new digital scale has me 4 lbs heavier than the dial one! It's a bummer because it puts me back up over the 200 mark but I have decided to suck it up and move on. I am going to change my ticker accordingly... Just because the scale says that I weigh more doesn't mean that I am any bigger than I was this morning.

You will be under 200 by the middle of next week...don't worry
  • I found this recipe on a diabetic website. I thought that it would be helpful for us. I am going to try it. I don't like what I've heard about aspertame.

  • As promised...my weight gain for 10 days of holiday was suprisingly only 3.5 lbs. I've been on maintenance since early Feb., I'm thinking 2 things.
1.I really have reset the pancreas and metabolism to work more efficiently.
    2. I do have better eating habits and even my cheats are less drastic than they used to be.
My eating consisted of (besides lots of veggies, salads and very healthy food in general) vodka and/or red wine for alcohol, lots of hummus, eggplant salad with tehina, tons of pita and other whole grain breads...I mean TONS of bread!!!! and some desserts, but honestly not as much as I thought I would have. I had some real sweets, AND brought my WF stuff to cut down on sugar. Had some SF cookies, brought IP bars and mixed it all up with regular baked goods.
I look a little blown up, bloated...and I'm going to do a few low carb days to detox and lose the excess.
The weight gain looks like more pounds than I gained, especially in face, stomach and upper thighs.

So there's my report for my first holiday since starting IP back in October.
    Have a great weekend everyone.
